Just on my mind..

Before I start I am not directing towards anyone maliciously so don't get me wrong.

The 4 years I have been on Sythe I have seen many people come and go. I have seen people get promoted to staff which is always nice to see. However I noticed now that some people have as many as 3 positions on staff and I wonder if that is really the best way to hand out staff positions.

Again, I am not jealous of ranks etc and this is not because I feel I deserve anything, but how effective is giving one person the responsibility of three jobs? If something does not require the work of at least one person, is it really necessary to have it at all? I feel like it is a chosen few that keep getting promoted or just given a different title with a new picture beside it.

Just something that has been on my mind since day 1. I know it probably won't change anything but I felt I needed to atleast just type something out haha.

 

Nobody on Sythe is assigned more then one staff position?

 

Can you clarify a bit more what you are referring to tiger, or give an example? Bit confused.

Maybe something like Market Mod and Runescape Mod? Both those sections are a pretty large part of Sythe each.

 

Oh ok. Most of the sectionals have perms to more than one section anyway, this has been going on for years. They just dont always take the second moderator rank for that section if they dont want it.

 

ah Tiger I understand what you mean and I believe you have misinterpreted what it means.

A Sectional moderator is only ever promoted to moderate one section, this is the section their name colour represents, for example, mine is Off-Topic.

After two months of being a moderator, I am given an option to help out in a second section, which my choice was the runescape section, taking an extra section is completely optional and you do not have to do the same duties as you do in your primary section.

Staff moderating sections as their second choice does not affect how many staff we have for that section

 

Thanks guys, this is obviously a kind of touchy subject but I was just purely curious. I got a better understanding of things and how they work now.
