Just discovered Kyuss

Lately me and my friends have been picking an album to listen to for each time we smoke. And I picked Kyuss randomly from a website and we listened to Welcome to Sky Valley, Holy shit. I can honestly say I was blown away.

It's in a genre of stoner rock but if you like rock you don't need to be a stoner.

 

Kyuss is something i've recently discovered too, and I also gave Sky Valley a listen and it was rather amazing and has stuck in my mind. I think I shall have to go give it another play through some point soon.

I think i'll have a smoke myself and give it a blast later this evening.

Reporting back, I enjoyed it, and then the ending of Whitewater caught me off guard and confused the fuck out of me.

What other Stoner Rock are you into?

I went to see The Sword late last year and damn they put on a fine show, Age of Winters is an incredible piece of music.

 

I also listen to Queen of the Stone Age, Electric Wizard,and this band called Sleep which has a 1 song album thats like an hour long. I haven't heard of The Sword and Age of Winters but I'd definitely check em out. Me and my friends are going to a cabin this weekend and we'll definitely get stoned and listen them

also ya i totally agree with you, whitewater is a wierd ass song

 

Yeah Dopesmoker is great mate. Big fan of Electric Wizard, should be seeing them again in June. Stoked!

That album is entirely brilliant.

They're not usually as heavy as Kyuss or Electric Wizard, and even though there's definitely some overlap in their styles, I think they're on a league all of their own.

This album is insane










If you like em, and like getting high, they won't disappoint.

 

Dead Meadow was pretty sick
