JohnK's RuneScape HIStory!

Welcome all to my thread. This thread is purely a log/record of my main events and occurings in RuneScape. Be ready for a whole lot of boring stuff. This is solely for me to reflect on my past times on RuneScape, memories etc and to get what i've done down on something permanent.
*Unfortunately I have no RuneScape pics until 2005

My RuneScape adventure started way back in March of 2003. My time playing RuneScape has been very fun, annoying, challenging and sad at times. My months/years on RuneScape are long, which makes me a very experienced player. I've never ever been a serious RuneScape player, never devoted my life to the game, and never played more then 6 hours in one day. I played RuneScape during these times
- March 2003 - June 2004
- February 2005 - October 2005
- March 2006 - September 2006
- August 2007 - January 2008
- Jan 2009 - March 2009

Yes, a very long time. So many memories. The months I werent playing RuneScape I was on games such as:
~ Mythwar
~ Gunz
~ PangYa
~ Tibia
~ Habbo
~ PhantasyRPG
~ C.A

Now, back in MY day of this game, things were very different. Firstly, I'd like to share some experiences and memories of my RuneScape classic days.

• In world 1 I can always remember when drop-partys were always on whenever you came on, located at the top floor of the museum, everyone hated the players who used telekenetic grab.
• When things were loading everyone would appear as "Null - Level 1"
• When you had to click more then once, to get the dam ore out of the rock.
• Bank doors used to be openable and closeable and people used to sit at bank doors with auto-clickers automatically shutting the bank doors preventing people from getting it, was so annoying.
• Dubbed as "Shemales", a lot of people managed to make their charachters with a beard and a set of breasts, stil to this day I don't know how they did that.
• When running out of energy meant sleeping in a bed or sleeping bag to gain your 'Fatigue' back.
• You used to be able to copy the guards outfit and people used to copy them and just stand by guards pretending to be them, strangely.
• I used to make my money by killing Dark Wizards at the stone circle and collecting runes, then always selling to my friend Silentones.
• Level 20's and such with wearing Rune plates used to amaze me.
• Purchasing my first "rare" item which was a Santa hat for 204k off King Black8.
• Karamja lessers were an incredibly popular place to train compared to these days.
• A rumour went around, if you killed a White Knight on christmas day in 2003 that they would drop a Santa hat. Foolishly I did try this, lol.
• Logging on Halloween unexpectedly seeing "Scythe"s on the ground. We figured out they spawned in groups every 6 minutes and if you tried to pick one up again it would say something like: "You already have a Scythe, you do not need another." I stil own my Scythe account who is only level 40, unleveled since 2004.
• Breastplates for girls

And that is most of the stuff I remember from my RSC days.
Now a list of my main RuneScape Classic friends that I had, some are stil my friends to this day.

• Silentones (Has just achieved 99 farming and 2k total, 1 of only 4 RSC friends stil playing RS. A big influence on my time on RS.)
• Lmn1990 (Quit back in 2005, stil on my msn)
• Louisa W (Was irl friends with Sarah J. They both quit together in 2004.)
• Sarah J (Same as Louisa W)
• Sudbury Storm (Quit a few months after I met him in 2003, stil chat on MSN)
• Boozingcow (Sam - My RuneScape guide, taught me the basics to the game and helped me alot. Quit years back.)
• Azza X (Had no idea what happend to him after Classic until he logged on in 2007, great guy. Started the "Green hair gang" with him on RSC.)
• Starfirexo -- (Stil plays to this day)
• Unknown Mine (So many good times on RSC with him.)
• Poo master22 (irl friend who stil plays)
• Weetam (irl friend who quit long ago.)
• Zulu of fire (Met while PKing when I tried PKing on my failed pure "Mystic Bawb". Have no idea what happend with ths guy.)

As of now I have no access to RuneScape classic on any accounts because I was not playing RuneScape during the 6 month period... I have 5 accounts that I am all original owner of that once had access to classic, so, fingers crossed it is brought back for players in the same position as me.

That is about all my RSC history, in 4 paragraphs.
My RS2 history started when Silentones convinced me to move from RSC to RS2 in April of 2004 when I was playing on Wu Tang56. He was hacked by my irl friends brother which led me to quit in 2004. I returned to RuneScape back in 2005 on Paladox.

It got to the end of 2005 when I lost general interest for RuneScape. I ended up giving this account away to someone irl, who stil plays on him today.
2006-
I returned to RuneScape in March of 2006 after receiving a permanent ban on PhantasyRPG. For safety reasons I will not name the account as I have been trying to sell on Sythe.

DId anyone else remember that rich corner in varrock bank like right behind it long before the GE?

 

Lol, yeah, i remember buying Gold-Trimmed ect. robees for my pure with money made of merchanting bronze arrows and cow hides
