Jmods can't do their job

Don't people that Runescape pay to play a game that works correctly? I know all games can't be perfect but people have made billions off innocent players the last couple days. The arena right now is packed full of bug abusers and there are no Jmods lifting a finger to stop players from getting scammed. Am I the only one the thinks Jagex employees aren't doing something correct and have issues in prioritizing thier problems?

 

Your right, Jagex should come down here to the arena and bann people by them selfs, there is tons of glitchers atm and it's very easy to see them.

1 make bills, 100 lose bank and jagex says ' we are sorry ' I agree with you..

 

It's more likely that they are busy fixing the bug for good instead of logging in an banning people. That is a more practical approach, trying to ban people would be more difficult and time consuming than them working behind the scenes to fix it. Not sticking up for Jagex - but i'm sticking up for tech support It can be frustrating at times but it doesn't get fixed by magic.

 

They need to take down the servers and preform an emergency maintenance until they fix it. Keeping the servers up and letting more kids get scammed is not the way to do this.

 

They are probably trying to figure out how people are doing it, therefore can't ban them just yet.

 

I think Jagex have the power to track the players which have been glitching and return compensation to victims who have lost stakes the the person who has been reported for bug abuse.

It should be easy for them to track.

1. Guy loses bank to bug abuser at arena

2. Guy reports the bug abuser

3. Jagex checks report and watches abusers account

4. Jagex see's the bug abuse and returns compensation to the "Guy" Jagex can see how much he lost to this bug abuser.


What I just listed above can be done while tech support fix the glitch

So F Jagex they dont do enough just money hungry nerds.

They don't have to log in to fix anything... They fix everything through code, no need to login.

It's their fault in the first place that there's a bug. You just piss more people off by logging in and banning the abusers when still other people are abusing.


However, they should close the DA down for "x amount of time" while the bug is fixed.

 

It sounds that easy but it's not. There gonna deal with this the same way they've dealt with staking glitches in the past. Patch them and no roll backs. Thats all they can do.

This is what I think as well.

I can appreciate that it probably does not work quite like this and involves much more complicated measures than we would know, but if Jagex can watch accounts so closely and track money transactions and trades between them to stop RWT, then you think they could just as easily track which accounts are making insane amounts of cash from this glitch and from whom the money was scammed from.

I personally feel that Jagex DOES have it in their power to help people that are scammed/glitched out of their money, yet because of their stupid policy they will do nothing. I can understand the complicated issues that could arise if they did in fact return money to people (fighting, false claims, difficulty proving stories etc.), but I feel that Jagex should always refund money that is lost due to their own faults - such as coding errors and glitches from systems/updates that were not tested thoroughly enough before releasing to the public.

 

Thats NOTHING new when considering what Jagex has done to their loyal customers in passed few years. The more recent screw up being safe minigame deaths.

I guess Jagex is completely business and it has weighted it would cost just too much to rollback these accounts that have been getting advantage/lost stuff.

 

I am sure Jagex tech staff are doing their best to solve the glitch. Technical glitch happens and I do hope Jagex have the sound mind to put things right.

They may do a roll-back if a large amount of people are victims to this.

Just pray and hope for the best.

 

i don't think they will roll-back, they didn't roll back the clan wars glitch where when you were in safe zone you still lost everything so I Don't Know but I highly doubt it

Well if the problem still persists and more people get scammed then i am pretty sure Jagex will start rolling people back and banning them however the problem is not the most serious thing on their minds at the moment . For example they have other things to think about such as the bots .

 

They should take the servers down for a while until they fix it or at least have a roll back afterwards.
