Firstly, I just want to say this report is long overdue as I didn't want this situation to come down to me making a report as I don't care for drama, but these guys gave me no other choice because all of them not only screwed me over in some aspect, but they wasted several months of my time and all I asked in return was just a refund for what I paid from Jire and I would've just took the L on the chin and moved forward, but the guy got banned on his old discord and doesn't even acknowledge my messages anymore as if we never spoke prior.

All in all it was just petty act after petty act with these guys and Jire is the only user that directly scammed me, but I wanted to mention the other users associated with this as well as they each played a significant role in screwing me over. The main reason I'm making this report is because I don't want other people to go through what I went through with these guys as I doubt I'll ever get a refund, but I'd like to warn anyone who encounters any of these guys in the future.

To make this easier to read I've put everything into separated spoilers.

Spoiler: Jire (TLDR; NR's lead dev who directly scammed me and stole work I paid a lot of money for from my server)

Scammer's profile link: As far as I'm aware he doesn't have a Sythe account that I can prove belongs to him, but his rune-server account is "Jire". The "Jire" account that is banned on Sythe has no correlation to his rune-server account as far as I'm aware of.

Amount scammed: In terms of an actual debt owed I've paid him for $850 worth of work in advance that was never completed (or even partially completed for that matter), and almost a year of my time was wasted. He also stole code from my server to use for Near-Reality which I can't put at a specific price but probably a minimum of $2k worth of work, and he sold services for the source we bought that got leaked, which cost $4.5k and I believe he had some affiliation with that leak. I will elaborate on every point below.

The agreement and all of our conversation was discussed on his old Discord that was banned, but for some reason it doesn't let me open messages anymore and I've never seen that before because even if a users account is deleted/banned I've been able to access this in the past. I found his old Discord off of old Near-Reality announcements he made, but for some weird reason I'm unable to open our messages.

Explanation of the trade / How they scammed: Jire was paid in advance to finish our ToB and Nightmare. He said he could finish this within a week or so and in the end I've been left with many months of time wasted, false promises, and nothing to show for. The ToB code was completely broken it looked like he ripped it off Eden/Legacy PK or something (old servers he was a part of) as we mentioned several bugs and he never got around to fixing the mess he made and Nightmare was never started.

He also stole a bunch of work from us and proof of that will be included in a deleted post below. I can't publicly post the proof that he did this to a more serious extent given it contains a lot of sensitive information so that will be included in a deleted post for staff to review, but I'll post the minor proofs below as it was as blatant of a copy paste as it gets.

It doesn't even end there. On top of not reaching back to me after all this our source we bought for $4.5k ends up getting leaked to the public, and I know Near-Reality used the same source so others had access to it and that I have no proof to tie Jire to the leak, but the fact that it got leaked after Near-Reality got as far developed as it did and immediately after the leak Jire was offering services on top of this to help those who plan to use the leaked client all while ignoring me and not finishing a single piece of work I paid him to do makes me believe he had some affiliation with the leak.

As far as I'm aware the "Jacmob" on Sythe isn't him as I have no proof to tie him to that user.

I've only had a couple short conversations with Jacmob, but I have 0 doubt he's involved in this in some way as the owner of the server. Throughout the time they were hyping up the server prior to launch they would monitor every little thing we did in our server as our servers were nearly similar in size and they liked how we used polls and other unique things to engage with our community (which isn't an issue of-course, merely noting that as it transitions into my next point). They kept delaying their release to see when we would launch, but when we made it clear to our community that we weren't launching anytime soon (due to everything Jire and the others put us through) they came with a release date shortly thereafter. A couple weeks prior to their official release date Jacmob reached out to me and offered to buy my community out, and keep in mind at the same time Jire was doing a bunch of work for them (as seen on his github contributions from last year) and completely put my work to the side as nothing was completed for months up to this point.

Also that question asking if we ever released really bothered me as he knew we didn't, it was clearly just him being a smart ass. He knew Jire was working for me in the past when nothing was being done and he would constantly join/leave the server in the past to monitor whatever we had going on. What I'm trying to get at with Jacmob is that I find it hard to believe Jacmob would have no association to what Jire did as there's little to no reason for him to steal the work I had done on Fate and put it in Jacmob's server Near-Reality and especially given the timing of everything leading up to their release. He can see all the commits that are made and Jire doing work for me on a source he's familiar with (since we both were the only ones with the same base).

Like I said though it's hard to pinpoint anything on Jacmob himself, but I have no doubt he's involved in some way given everything Jire did as he's their lead dev and has a stake in NR (not sure about Andy, but he mentioned he owned a big server called Runite in the past, so I'm sure he had some stake in the server too).

Andy's didn't scam me directly either as I never paid him upfront, but he was one of the biggest time-wasters I ever dealt with. I assume it's cause either he had a stake in NR or was sent by Jacmob to do this, but essentially we were looking to get web work done, and he reached out to us regarding this. From there we eventually made an agreement for the work to be done within a certain deadline and every single deadline was missed with 0 work to show for. By the time it was 2-3 months over the date he said he'd be done by we finally told him we're done as he's done nothing other than waste our time up until that point. I know he never cared to do the work to begin with, but the fact that he didn't even apologize for everything he put us through and played the victim cause of how IRL obligations popped up (which we had 0 awareness of all those months) goes to show what type of person he is.

After that nothing significant was said. Like I said though he made several false promises and never completed anything for our website (as nothing was ever pushed onto the server it was just bs to stall us further), and I didn't bother to reach out to him cause it was clear what his intentions were. He never reached back to say sorry (which that alone would've went along way to me) and never provided proof any work was done all those months.

Just posting as an update regarding the situation.

Firstly I forgot to post proof of payment initially outside of the conversation where he confirmed he'd be starting the work, so here's the receipt for that: [redacted for now for staff view as his IRL name/a picture of him is in it]

Essentially their stance is because the trade didn't originate from their forum they're unable to take any action. I never used rune-server before and was introduced to Jire through other friends that used that forum, but I assume since our agreement didn't originate through their forum they're unable to take action. It's such a grey area as while I do agree I'm unfamiliar with how rune-server rules/trades work, most trades are going to start and occur through discord (which happened in Andy's case as he reached out through DM and added us) these days whether through another discord server, another platform, word of mouth (which happened in the case with Jire as other rune-server users referred him but I was never a member on the platform), etc. There's so many loopholes to this ruling and overall the ruling is insane as it gives scammers on rune-server a pass to keep scamming off-site and doing extremely shady shit like this without any punishment on their forum and I hope upper-staff/management end up changing this ruling eventually because this'll set a terrible precedent and steer people away from using their forum. I do believe a lot of people over there mean well, but when you have people like Jire and others doing stuff like this without consequences on the forum that they're primarily active on it'll overlook all of that.

I do want to quickly say that I appreciate Harry (Jay Gatsby) the global mod on rune-server for the quick replies and assistance throughout this situation.

Jire only reached out cause a couple of people I knew that used that forum mentioned this report to him. To keep it short a lot of his replies are him dodging the issues at hand and going in circles about irrelevant things.

I'm not sure how he couldn't find my discord and how there's any misunderstanding up until this point as it's clear what he did. I've messaged him several times on both discords (his new one and his previous one prior to the ban) to no avail. No idea what he's referring to with "the shit with his co-owner" just him talking out of his ass if I had to guess.

Here he says devs at Fate switched because it was easier to manage work under Jacmob. Brother you worked with Jacmob prior to working for me and you took on the service while doing work for him, and in Andy's case he reached out to us for the work, so your points here make 0 sense. You act as if this is an excuse for doing everything you did because you clearly didn't care to acknowledge anything in the report itself in these replies.

"Having been doing RSPS for my primary income over a decade I haven't had anything bad about me, so want that to remain that way."

If you actually stood behind this you wouldn't have done all the bullshit you put me through up until this point. Again I can't tell if you're that delusional or trying to cover your ass to people who aren't fully aware of everything you did. I am surprised you've been around for as long as you have, but it makes sense if rune-server carries a stance to not ban people like you for all the scummy shit you do off-site.

Jire's conversation with me I'll leave below as I don't really know what else to add. His delusion in all of this is mind boggling to me. From trying to compensate me with some files/dev work after fucking me over as if I'd trust him and constantly going off-topic and making 0 sense. Instead of owning up to anything he circles in the same delusional replies and once I told him I cba with the bs he keeps saying anymore I asked for a refund and he just went ghost mode again.

--- Our conversation since the incident from start to finish (I'll TL;DR each picture):

Why would you take my money to do my work if you're exclusive to him? Why would Andy's reach out to me trying to do web work for us if he's exclusive for him? Why would you ignore me all this time while owing me a service/refund? Again just a delusional reply not sure what else to add on that. Then you claim the runesuite leak has nothing to do with you, however you were one of if not the only guy offering services in their discord trying to capitalize off the leak by providing services related to the source. Also you claim I pressured you in a voice call when I never pressured you at all, that voice call was for me to get to know you better and talk about future ideas moving forward after the tasks you were paid for were completed. The fact that you used this excuse to justify this is absurd.

Here Jire mentions an irrelevant point of him having access to the source before me (not sure how this defends his argument). I know he's trying to say Zenyte leaks were going around before I purchased it, but I find that extremely hard to believe. Was it sold elsewhere before I got it? Yes, but obviously no one would be dumb enough to leak that to the public given how valuable it was, which is why it's such a coincidence that it didn't leak up until recently given how far NR progressed from the base and given what Jire has done up until this point. Also capitalizing on the leak by providing services cause you know people would have a difficult time getting on it only makes you look worse, especially while you ignored me and owed me money and work (on top of stealing tons of work from my server).

I didn't want to reply at the time cause it annoyed me how he couldn't take accountability for anything and replied like this right off the bat.

I'll address each of his points below:

--- "No clue why you're involving me in any of your RS drama. I had nothing to do with your developers not getting work done. Jire never wrote any content for NR, if you were aware of the RSPS scene you would know that nothing would probably have gotten done. I'm sorry your project failed but I had no part in it, your issue lies with not understanding the RSPS landscape and trusting Jire to deliver something, your issues are with him, not me."

You're the owner of NR-PK/Near-Reality... you have a bunch of stolen work from my server that's remained in your server from your beta to launch and even to this day and there's proof of this. Also these same developers were doing a bunch of work for you all while ignoring me and making me chase for updates to no avail every time. Jire has been your lead developer for a long time and did a ton of work and maintenance for your server prior to and post launch. Also my project never launched to be considered a failure, and the reason this so called "failure" happened is because of you guys doing everything in your power to make sure we don't progress. Your next point doesn't even make sense as what does any of this have to do with me not understanding the RSPS landscape? The part where you follow up mentioning trusting Jire to deliver something only makes you look worse as the work he stole and put on your server was never removed and he did a ton of work for you throughout the months he didn't do a single thing for me and gave me constant excuses. You had no issue leaving all the work that I had done which was copied to your server and you still have him as a developer, yet you say it's an issue that I trusted him and continue to claim you had no involvement, make it make sense.

--- "I had Zenyte long before your team ever did, I simply offered to buy your community to help you recoup some of your losses"

That is true that you had access to Zenyte prior to me (even though I obtained it from the developers themselves). Either way it was an expensive source that not many people had access to and the fact that it got leaked after you guys got this far with your server and given what has transpired up until this point is extremely suspicious. As far as the offering to help me recoup some of my losses crap that's just you putting on a fake good guy image. We were never friends prior and you constantly threw jabs at me and my server in other servers in the past (I got numerous PM's regarding this prior to your release) when I never spoke to you or of you before in my life, so why would you want to help me all of a sudden prior to your release? Again make it make sense.

Overall these guys continuously refuse to take any accountability to this day and are complete sociopaths (really no other way to put it at this point). This'll be my last reply here unless I need to mention anything else. For anyone that is friends with these guys or believes they're innocent for whatever bizarre reasons they tell you I urge you to re-read this report in full and also realize that I don't gain anything from this report as if I really wanted to report this for my own benefit I would've done so prior to them releasing in the summer during the time my server also had a lot of hype, not after there player-base went down and they made all the money they have up until this point. I gave it plenty of time in hopes eventually the right thing would be done, however at this point clearly that hope is lost. I'm sure none of them will compensate me for anything as they're too stubborn and delusional beyond repair and I don't care for drama by any means as I never do these reports like I mentioned before, but I know if I didn't speak up about what happened to me, then it'll continue to happen to others in the future and for my peace of mind I hope this report helps prevent anyone else getting fucked over from them in the future.

 

@King do you have any further evidence of work done on your server being used by theirs?

Also were there any specific terms agreed upon here?

 

There isn't really much that can be done here since the user(s) involved don't seem to have any on-site presence here.

Unless Jire has proof of completing the work for you he'll owe a refund for the unfinished work. There is unfortunately no way to get any sort of answer regarding the accusations of copied work as they do not appear to have presence on this platform.

As for the other two users involved there does not seem to be enough proof that they've willfully engaged in malicious activity in this report. If you come across something more substantial please feel free to post a new report.
