Jethr0x - 3 Years since ban.

Alrighty, It appears on my other thread (still in this section) that I was unclear about many things. With that being said I'd like to retry my pardon post (I am unable to edit the original, else I would). I am terribly sorry if posting this again, though the contents being different, is against the rules.

Background:

I was banned back in 2009 by Sin666/Nick (not sure which one), along with Macroman for owning a botnet (if you could call it that) which I had created. I'd like to admit that in my posts I was not honest about much of what I said. In my thread I claimed to have had about 13k bots (infections), which is an incredible feat for a 15 year old. This, I admit was a lie. In fact, the botnet was so non-malicious that it did not even steal any of the things I claimed it did. There were NO RuneScape stealers, no PayPal stealers, nor had I ever gotten anyone's personal information from this botnet. The only features this botnet had was the ability to add to startup, and it had an IRC spammer which I had used to spam random IRC channels on the SwiftIRC network.

I was a stupid little kid who was exaggerating the truth, by a lot. I guess if you get into the technicality of it, I did own a botnet. I use SwiftIRC, and had maybe 20-30 bots? Which I used for spamming IRC channels as clones.

I guess the reason I did this is because owning a botnet somehow made me feel in power (looking back on it now, I call myself a dumbass) I see now that what I had done was definately not worth it. I loved Sythe, and still do. I miss the community dearly.

Rules/Morals I have Broken:
1. Lying - Explained above.
2. Ban evading (as I said before, I was a stupid little kid, I did not think any of my actions through).
3. Posting "malware" (not really)

Regarding the "malware" posted
I DID post "malware" on the forums. (I had completely forgotten until Jimmy's post reminded me in the other thread). By this accusation I am guessing he was reguarding the "All in One" SCAR package I had released a few times on my new Account. As stated before, I never knew much about the whole hacking scene, but what I did do was create an auto-updater for scar (yes it actually did auto-update the SVN version of SRL along with the SVN version of Reflection); however, feeling mad at the community, I added random junk classes into the .jar to make it seem malicious (if anyone even bothered to look), hoping that maybe I could somehow scare a lot of people (I really have no idea why I even did this...), I distinctly remember naming the following classes: Backdoor.java, UDPFlood.java, SocketFlood.java, and IRC.java, in order to give it the appearance of a botnet (I swear on everything that this is all it was). I no longer have the code, but if anyone has kept it, I will gladly de-ob it for you all and show you it is nothing but junk code inside. Also, the "Hostname" that this "bot" was supposedly connecting to, was "127.0.0.1", which is localhost. No one was ever "hacked" by this.

Past 2 years
I have been writing scripts for various bots and just moved into RSBuddy, where I am going to be coding, heavily, and hopefully releasing scripts for free + private ones for Sythe members (at the discretion of you all). I have been blamed my Paris for the "RuneScape" mass hackings that occured during these last few years... this in fact was a lie. I did not hack anyone, I simply got blamed, and never denied that I did it. If I had to guess, Paris hacked everyone.

Conclusion
I was an idiot, I have +3 years under my belt now, and I would like to give back to the community. I understand that what I have done may be looked upon as sketchy, although most of it was a giant lie, I can see the reason that many of the staff members may not trust me. I am all for holding a rank of "TWC" or "WARNING", if it suits you all (the staff) better, in fact you can moderate all of my posts. I am not here to scam, never was, and never will be. I am here to start doing what I used to do (writing scripts\bots for RuneScape), and creating educational\informative threads for the users of these boards. I am truly sorry for what I had done.

Jethrox, Jethrox, Jethrox. Where do I start?


For starters, in 2010 you created, distributed, and profited off a RS Stealer (Which was an infected RSbot client), known as Stealth bot.

Towards the end of the year\start of the new year, you claimed "the government" shut you down. As time progressed, in 2011 you created a program with similar concepts, tools, and utilities of your first program. This time calling it Casper, still directly profiting off your program by stealing, hacking, and selling it.

So not are you only responsible for all the RS accounts, auths, and other things you compromised, but for the hundreds or more accounts compromised due to the creation of your program.

I am insulted that you would not only come make a pardon, but try and hide the things you've done since you were gone.

Waiting for an admin to veto this.
