    Java Drive-By help

How can u tell if a link you're not exactly sure of is a java drive-by or just a website that uses java for a pserver or for an application. What I'm asking for is basically a website scanner that detects if there is a java driveby on the site.

    Java Drive-By help

Doesn't exist, you just have to use your judgment. Typically, a site to use one would be advertised as being "Runescape hacks" or "Runescape 3D". Basically something unrealistic...Also look at the URL. If it's NOT something at runescape.com, but looks very similar (like ruenscape.com), then just don't click it plain and simple.

This isn't about runescape, it's just in general.

edit: just realized I used a pserver as a runescape example but I meant in general.

Common sense is really the only way. And looking at the window that pops up if you have it set to not automatically run scripts, like it should be.

well there was a pretty reputable cc advertising just come chill with us on teamspeak. u access their site and it connects to teamspeak and a java thing popped up. It seems pretty legit but with a fud driveby everything could work and you could still get infected.

If it has a name, it's a real site. Such as, if it said Java Class INC., rather than UNKNOWN PUBLISHER, it won't have a drive-by in it, since you actually need to verify a program to have the name put in it as published. Just be cautious of what you accept for Java.
