Actually there is an email look-up on the site and it tells you the ip address of the owner and if you click that ip address it shows all their other emails

OT: Quadro, Snap well explained what the program does and your wrong about JaGeX using it for what you said, it is possible but I highly doubt they are atm.

What's stopping them from doing so? Jagex has an account database just like any forum with player information

The bot wouldn't be loading the runescape applet and logging into peoples account, I'm almost 99% sure Jagex uses MySql for storing player info, any other website uses the same thing, if Jagex doesn't use MySql let me know, I seriously doubt they store accounts in txt files, Nothing is stopping botscout from monitoring Registered Runescape users IP Address's and linking it to email accounts that you use for Sythe

Quadro, JaGeX can't do nothing with this program, it would be much more effective if JaGeX just chain-banned accounts that have botted multiple times on a specific IP Address.

If you read my other post you would see where I told you exactly how it could be used against RS botters.

As I said before because it says nothing about rs doesn't mean it can't be used for it.

The way the site works it allows them to look up your email info which means As quedro or quadro [ sorry forgot how you spelt your name lol] said they can look up to see what auths you have bought and then watch accounts linked to said email\ip.

Also if jagex ever wanted to mass ban bots why in the hell would they post it everywhere for people to see so that they would find ways around this, they wouldn't thats the difference between intelligence and ignorance sir.

Well if not, BotScout still convey's the amount of work that can be done with an IP address(which Jagex has(yours)) I've been able to enter an email on that site and link it to 10 other email addresses Which I could then use to see what you are doing even if the email I had was Just the email you used for a Junk account on Runescape

 

Uhm ok, but you do understand that OP actually thinks that BOTSCOUT means actual runescape bots. He thinks that it's actually made to only catch Runescape bots although he may change his statement now.

Using 1 email address to find out 10 other email address of mine? I don't know if that's possible and I can't be bothered checking if it is. I don't know how it would be possible without IP Address though.

 

You leave a I.p. trail wherever you go on the internet think of it as your house address and every site you go to is a letter in the mail, they need your address as well as you need to give it to them in order to receive your mail ie the info on the site.

 

I'm not saying that the program/website can be used to detect botters in-game... JaGex is NOT going to ban somebody because they trace their email and find out that the email was used to buy a botting auth, thats not what they look for when looking into whether to ban accounts for marcoing. I'm almost 100% sure they look for in-game proof such as mouse patterns and such.

Also, tell me. How is this website going to get your email address from buying an auth code on the internet? It's not like the auth code sellers are mass selling this information or putting it out to the public.

Well Jagex recently released that a statement that they were going to gather anyone's info(That has purchased a Runescape bot/gold(correct me if I'm wrong)) and ban them and they get your email because you use an email with that paypal account then they trace that email to your other emails(including the one you use on Runescape) and before you know it, BAN

also who do you think stores logs of purchases? Paypal does, the bank does. Jagex doesn't need to contact the seller

 

I'm pretty sure in the OP you said that JaGex WAS using this to detect bots in runescape..

Please link me to this source? Also you can't just get proof of purchases from banks and paypal at ones will. It doesn't work like that.
