Jagex charging caught bots for accounts back

A RAT is a remote administration tool, not a keylogger nor a virus. A keylogger only monitors keystrokes, a virus edits your system settings or whatever else it is programmed to do and a RAT allows full access into your computer. View files/keystrokes/change settings etcetc.

 

I find this move by Jagex to be quite disgusting. The justification they use is a joke. By all means, ban the accounts - but they really downplay the monetary incentive here.

The distinctions aren't as a clear cut as you make them out to be. The three aren't entirely mutually exclusive (IE: Some people use RAT's to install keyloggers)

Well said, I find it digusting myself.. Jagex say they are all for prevention against botters.. but this new move won't prevent anything. All that's happened is Jagex have realised people pay for Bots.. so they want a slice of it!

 

I have a pmod account and I don't see this anywhere....

 

I knew they could take levels, items and wealth from people already.
Most people knew about the levels because of the threads about it when they started and the items is for people who bot goldfarming continuously and if they're not gaining XP they're going to take wealth to try stop.
