This also has traces of methamphetamine in it. I don't think they sell it anymore because of that.

OP: tl;dr but I caught that you just do one exercise? If I'm mis spoken please let me know. Doing one exercise will get you absolutely no where. Look up workouts on sites like bodybuilding.com and forums like that.

Stick to a regimen and don't give up.

    Biceps and Triceps
    Chest and shoulder
    back and legs

    Stuff like that.

    Good luck.

I can explain a lot more over skype if you'd like. I like to think I know about this stuff so I'll help you out in any way I can. :)

I stopped here and didn't read anything else.

If I'm repeating anything, I'm sorry.

You need to move up in weight. You're cutting with those reps, any amount of reps over 12 is considered 'cutting' and you aren't actually going to put on any muscle mass. You need to be 'bulking' which is higher weight and less reps.

Try to find a weight you're comfortable with doing 3 sets of 8. You never want to do more reps than 12 with a weight.

Supplements are always an option too, whey protein is very helpful in putting on weight healthfully, and you can get some cheap stuff at Wal Mart.

I've heard of mixing bis and tris... but I have no idea who mixes chest and shoulder and back and legs. The regimen I'm on we do

    chest and back
    legs and abs
    bis, tris, and shoulders

What the fuck is this "cutting" and "bulking" bullshit with reps?

Cutting and bulking are done through calorie deficit and calorie surplus. It has nothing to do with reps, none whatsoever.

More reps does indeed improve muscular endurance but it doesn't make you "cut" lol

@pur3bloodly: there's no such thing as a "weird" split. If a split works for you, work with it. You might say my splits are weird but they work for me and that's all that matters.

    My splits go like this:

    Monday: Chest and calves
    Tues: Triceps and Shoulders
    Wed: Back and Biceps
    Thurs: Quads
    Friday: Chest and Hams
    Weekends off

The reason to which my legs are split up that way is because I find that after I'm done with my quads, I have little to no energy for hams or calves. Maybe once I get squatting, I can work them all out on one day but I'm yet to do so. I'm so late on the squat game.

I haven't read through all the comments yet but I read your post and I think you have the wrong idea as to how to get bigger. You say you do 3 set of 20 reps each day and i'm going to assume you're doing curls.

I can't tell why you're lifting, to get healthier, stronger, or just for sexual appeal, but if you do want any of those, you have to more than just curls.

The membership at the gym sounds like a good idea and maybe getting a trainer there would be helpful too

There are many combinations you can do. Those are just the basic ones I did at my high school back in the day. Now I mix chest and triceps and biceps and back. It just depends really. It doesn't matter as long as you space everything out accordingly.

Higher reps= more toning. You do lower reps with higher weight in order to bulk up. When you're wanting to gain strength, lower reps than 6 are what you want to aim for. I'm not saying that you won't gain strength with higher reps, but reps can be quantified to the program/regimen you are following. Check out this article, it kind of explains what you're talking about. http://www.builtlean.com/2012/07/19/high-reps-vs-low-reps/

Whey protein is basically just a basic protein that you need in a diet. It's a complete protein and contains all 9 amino acids (I believe it's 9). I would suggest getting it to start out if you've never taken supplements before.

I quote from the source you gave:

"While more studies are needed to compare the fat loss effects of high reps vs. low reps, substantial evidence is mounting that it’s not necessarily the amount of weight that is used, or the number of repetitions that helps burn the most fat, but the intensity of the workout."

There is no such thing as "toning" with high reps lower weight.... the source that was suppose to validate what you're saying is doing quite the opposite. Broscience my friend, that is broscience you're spewing.

I've always wanted to get into the body-building scene. Nonetheless, just build a nice & toned figure for myself.

I have never really taken the time to pick up this hobby, but I do plan to in the future. I cannot really give any advice, but one thing I do know, is you're suppose to work out (I think) every other day because what you're doing is working out one day, tearing you muscle, and allowing it to grow back bigger/stronger on your off-days. So if you work out every single day, it just stays torn and doesn't grow back.

If I were you, I would check out the website http://www.bodybuilding.com It seems like a very good website, obviously dedicated towards body-building and I'm sure will provide anything & everything you need to know.

If you're going to start body-building, you should start your own thread or keep this one, and post updates every week or so. I would be interested to see how well you progress. The one thing I will say and the reason I have not got around to this hobby yet, is because it's something that if you are going to get into, you must commit and not give up. It takes time and don't expect to see progress after only a week.

    If you are still interested...

YOU NEED TO GOTO A GYM!!!!

The gym will motivate you to push hard! You see that sexy girl standing there? You will push hard when you see her...

See the two dudes looking at your weights? You will want to push harder!...

Once at gym > learn about diet...

I have a personal diet coach on a 12 week basis. Cost me like $160 for the 12 weeks...

Each week I send my stats and he adjusts my diet accordingly keeping the optimum macro levels...

    Agreed with the post above^

To long to read all the posts, but in general, if you wanna get bigger you need to lift heavier and less reps than what you're lifting now. Look into supersets and other techniques as well. Also be sure to switch up your workouts. And as Jack said, the internet is probably a better source than a few kids on sythe :p

The only way to build muscle is to work on every muscle my man. You need to give one muscle group a rest. If you go hard on 3 different body groups 3/7 days you will see results in 3 weeks and in 3 months huge differences!

Try to consume as much grams of protein as is your weight. That will go a long ways! Say no to drugs!
