ITT: We share our first anime + make one random suggestion

Things that aired on TV when we were younger don't count (Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho etc), even though i'm sure all of us did watch something like Toonami and all that.

Which anime was your first and/or holds the most sentimental value.




Was introduced to this and watched it with a friend many years ago, still has a very nostalgic feel to it whenever I see people use it in AMV's and such. All of Makoto Shinkai's works are very good, art wise and story wise I think he'll go down as one of the greatest. If you watch interviews with him he also explains some of the symbolism in his films, which is another layer to his works which I believe makes them so memorable.

As for my suggestion

Death Parade



(might be fan made?...) pretty fun and interesting imo, wish it was longer.

 

Had on-demand from like old comcast or some shit and watched naruto there as my first real anime (aside from pokemon and yugioh)

Agree with 5cm per second, its my favorite anime movie i've watched.

Suggestion to Kekkai sensen great anime, also 2nd season coming in spring 2017

another one, though really short (only 3 ovas with only 1 being out so far), is Mahoutsukai no yome hoshi matsu hito very beautiful artwork and plot

 

Been meaning to watch both of those. I have so many damn anime in my to-watch list that I have on idea where i'll find the time to watch them all
