Issues with an ex.

I have only been in two "serious" relationships. One of which was recent, and started off with us meeting in a rehab program. (we will call her Jen) Things were going good (imo) untill it seemed like she wanted to spend alot of time with this dude (we will call him Rick)

At first I had no problem with it because she still flaunted her feeling towards me every chance she could, as I to her. Then through time, her intrest seem to fade, I assumed it had to do with Rick.

A month goes by and she informs me of our seperation, due to the 'spark' fading, I had no ill feelings on the matter. I was still curious as to why tho and asked about Rick. She said that it had nothing to do with him.

A week later my ex from a less serious relationship (being the drama started she is) called to inform me that Jen was buying drugs from Rick, and she left me because she was using again.

My question now is, if it started out a healthy relationship, why couldn't she just open up about falling back into the same lifestyle as before?
Also, Rick is an attractive guy, and as you can see from my picture in another thread, im not exactly Mr.Goodlooks. do you think that there is something more to it than a buyer/seller relationship?

As a side note I would like to point out that I am in no way shape or form beat up about the situation...I would just like help with things going through my mind.

 

I would say it depends on the girl. If she is a real flirt then perhaps it could go further than buyer/seller with her in a perfectly uninfluenced state of mind, another thing that could influence her is the drugs. If she takes them when "Rick" is around they could most likely mess with her emotions causing her to do things she normally wouldn't. Good luck trying to feel your way around this delicate situation.

 

Thats what I was thinking, but who knows, I guess this can be locked cause now that I look at it from a different angle, it doesn't even matter....Its over with now.

 

I think it has alot to do with the fact that shes using again. Often times people put drugs before the good relationships they have with people, which is why the always end up alone and the only company the have is other users.

In short, I doubt it had much to do with you, and she was too selfish to see what she had.
