Is Weed just as bad as Cigarettes?

Im thinking about trying weed but i dont want to get addicted to the point where i am a regular smoker. I just want to try weed like my family has but i DO NOT want to get addicted to smoking. Should i try it or not?

 

Marijuana isn't addictive. Imho, weed is a lot better than regular cigarettes. I don't see the point in smoking cigarettes as all they do is harm you. Marijuana on the other hand, gives you a much better experience.
If I were you, I'd try it and see how you like it.

 

Although neither are very 'healthy' choices, I imagine that weed is MUCH less harmful on your lungs & various other internal organs when compared to smoking cigarettes.

 

Weed IS addictive, not physically, but mentally it can become addictive...Its easy to quit though, you just have to actually want to quit...

 

That isn't addiction, that's called dependence. When you develop dependence all that happens is that you feel like crap when you don't smoke weed, though the intensity depends on how much/how long you've been smoking it.

However you are correct in saying it's easy to quit; just find a way to keep yourself preoccupied with other things.

 

I wouldn't say you feel like crap when you don't smoke after developing a dependency to it. You also feel like crap when you're withdrawaling from Heroin. I have been dependent on weed on and off for 8 years now. I smoke nearly every hour of the day. I don't smoke much, but just enough to feel better. I have bad headaches often and weed is pretty much the only thing that helps other than alcohol or opiates. Rarely do I go a day without smoking, but when I do, I experience no withdrawal symptoms whatsoever. Maybe I get a little irritable sometimes and of course my headaches are bad, but that's about it. I actually haven't smoked for the nearly a month since I'm trying to get clean for a job.

Don't worry about getting addicted to it. It's not going to happen. Quiting is very easy, no matter how much you smoke.

 

I tried it, liked it. Kept me mellow last night playing games with my uncle, that and 101 proof alcohol mixed and some shots here and there. Fun little party we had last night. I see how u say weed isnt addictive, i tried it and even though i liked it i didnt crave for more.

Hell yeah try it. But it's actually more healthy for you than cigarettes.

Its fine, it just makes you hungry. I myself have tried it a few times. you may get a little paranoid

 

If you're talking for "health" reasons, cigarettes are a LOT worse than weed. Weed is obviously bad for your lungs and such, but cigarettes are bad for you lungs in the sense that they can cause cancerous cells and shorten your life span and such. Try weed if you'd like to, it's not something many people get addicted to. Personally, I'd say stay away from cigarettes, but that's just me.

 

1 in 11 people get addicted. Just hit it out a Vaporizer and there are no issues whatsoever.

 

Joints are just as Dangerous as Cigs because of the smoke, but vaporizers are safe.

 

well tomorrow is my last day till thanksgiving break, so my uncle gave me some of his weed for me and my cousin to smoke with, so thats what were gonna do down by a creek.

I can't tell if this is a joke, or just an extremely misinformed statistic that somebody pulled out of their ass.

1 in 11 people do NOT get addicted to smoking weed. Even if that was true, there would certainly be no difference between whether you choose to smoke with a vaporizer or without one. The method of ingestion for any drug has no correlation to the chance of you getting addicted. That is pretty ridiculous..

 

Comparing damage to your organs cigs are worse, bud messes with your head. I smoked it for 3 years and any impact it caused was negative. It's also effected my short-term memory.
Save yourself the trouble and don't do either.

 

They say Weed is a gateway drug. So don't try it if you have no self control.

Comming from a person who has been using marajuana for the entirety of my life, I am saying it is a personal decision but it is not at all addicting, there is people who enjoy the buzz but there is no addiction to the actual substance, some people (me) mix tobacco and weed together (poppers) and it gives you a headrush and considering it has nicotine you get addicted to poppers which technacly gets you addicted to weed, but in all honesty it is a great experience to have and it is not for everyone but I can garuntee that you will not get addicted, and it would be as bad for you to consume 7.9 Grams of weed as it would be for you to smoke 1 ciggarette.

considering you are new to this, 7.9 grams can smoke you up for a week done properly.
