I'm going to be playing next-gen on Ultra.

Make any changes you see fit I like to look at everyone ideas, but I was also thinking my self to change the motherboard to Asus Maximus IV it seems better than the MSI one I currently have anyways hopefully you guys can help me solve my problem. I also want to know why I have an incompatibility and how would I get rid of it?

Does anyone know if this a good build for overclocking and if so is there any guides to overclocking specifically for the i5-4670k CPU? Also is it dangerous to overclock or is it a waste of time for me? Thanks for viewing this I know I ask a lot of questions, but I fear wasting money on something that could have been better for my PC. My limit on my build is $ 1,500.

I agree that you should probably choose another board manufacturer. Personally I prefer either Asus or Gigabyte but Asrock can be decent at times as well, I generally avoid MSI if I can. Whether you go with an asus maximus IV is up to you, its probably more than you need but its still a nice motherboard.

You can ignore the incompatibility, its just warning you that your processor might not run that ram at its full potential without manually adjusting it. If you want to save yourself a bit of money without much of a performance difference I’d just go with 1600Mhz ram.

Yes, there are plenty of overclocking guides out there and browsing tomshardware or overclock.net is a great place to start. Its not especially dangerous if you do it correctly, and personally I think it’d be a shame not to with that nice aftermarket cpu cooler that you’ve selected.

There might be parts that you could argue that could be done better(such as that psu perhaps) but overall its a good build and I think you’re going to be really happy with it. If you have any more specific questions just let me know =p

I like that Graphics card choice, but honestly I wouldnt suggest 08 as a OS.

There are parts of that that I don't like either but its the most current, the fastest, and with the features that come with 8.1 (start menu, booting directly to desktop, etc) its honestly not that bad.

I'd drop the 2400mhz memory in favor of 1866 max. I've also never been one to recommend rosewill power supplies.

Other than that, you've got a solid build. But with that 770....you won't be playing next-gen on ultra unless you're just doing 1080p gaming. otherwise, it'll work perfect at 1080p

I personally wouldn't run a Rosewill PSU, and the only i5's I'd bother with are i5-2500k and i5-3570k. I wouldn't put together a $1300 build without at least a large enough SSD for the OS either, either downgrade the GPU and CPU for it, or find cheaper alternatives for the other parts (PSU and mobo). I'd recommend an ASUS or Asrock mobo over your MSI variant as well.

Personal choice - swap off the Win8 to Win7 - 8 looks and feels horrible in my opinion.
