REDO OF MY WHOLE BUILD:

okay, heres what I am thinking: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (Thuban) 2.8GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor (Model: HDT55TFBGRBOX)
ASUS Socket AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX Motherboard (Model: M4A785TD-V EVO)
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit (Model: F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB 7200RPM 32MB cache SATA II 3.5" Internal Hard Drive (Model: ST3100528AS) – OEM
OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX12V v2.2/ EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80Plus Certified Modular Active PFX PSU (Model: OCZ700MZSP)
Thermaltake Element G Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (Model: VL10001W2Z)

Pretty much, a 2.8ghz processor with 6 cores, instead of a quad core 3.4ghz processor. That, and the element g black case. My main question: >> Will I NEED the corsair h50 liquid cooling if I overclock this processor to 3.4ghz or so? And, if I do need the liquid cooling, will it even fit in the tower (case) ? << Thanks!

you'll be good to go for running like 8 bots. you can probably overclock it to around 4.3 ghz though and a few more gigs of ram never hurt anyone.

i have a similar build but with an intel proc. and better video card and i can run 11 bots and still play runescape lag-free.

and people only say the 6 core proc because its sort of new and obviously 6 cores are better than 4. my quad core I7 works fine

Why do you want to use a 32 bit os? Dont.

AMD II 6 core might be faster with overclock but I don't know what bottlenecks bots, ram/cpu wise. Maybe run one and find out?

Honestly I didn't know if 32bit or 64bit was better or worse. more or less stable.
So I just picked 32 bit lol.
Reasoning for 64 bit?

The only physical difference 64 bit can support up to 192 gb's of RAM.

The main difference between the two is that 64 big handles the distribution of RAM more efficiently, and so it generally runs smoother.

My computer is some african calculator piece of shit and I have no worries running 4-5 bots at once, you should be fine.

you are talking about botting a java game O_O doesnt take much CPU/RAM

you are talking about botting a java game O_O doesnt take much CPU/RAM

you have got to be kidding me. Sure, the java game may not demand much its self, but when you've got 1, let alone 5 clients going the demand of RAM to drive the clients is intense, and it will take a lot of RAM/CPU, CPU will arrange its self to pretty much run at 100% for smooth running. next time you bot, CTRL ALT DEL your running programs and check processes then watch the Javaw.exe or w/e it is and be amazed at the grind your comp will be pulling.

get a intel i7 quad core. it supports hyper threading so you would actually have 8 processors. 4 gigs of ram would be fine. and your video card isnt going to matter for running this bot. so buy video card by if you plan to play other games like wow or crysis.

Well, 5 bots, you can run easily.
But I have noticed, that their's a significant difference of the temp, between Intel and Amd. I was able to run up against 8 bots, with my I7 930, while in in ideal temp. While with my AMD Phenom II X4 955, I could only run up against 5-6 bots, in ideal temp.

When I tested both, with 10 bots running, the temp difference was nearly 10 degree's.

Their in the exact same kind of chassi, Fractal Design Define R3, with the same processor cooler, Corsair H50, using the same amount of fans.

But, I do believe that it's a little much, comparing a I7 930 against a Phenom II X4 955, but I do also believe Intel is better for most other things, but gaming.

if your going to run a amd cpu then your gonna have to have a amd socket mobo. if you plan to go to intel in the future then your gonna have to have to buy a new mobo and cpu. decide what you may want in the future. if you like intel better then get a lower priced dual core intel and then get a intel mobo. then try to find a mobo with a socket that fits what your going to get now and what you will want in the future. i used to like amd but then i switched to intel and wont go back. and honestly my laptop has 4 gb ram, nvidia 260M 1gb and a dual core 2.2 ad i can run 5+ bots easy.

If I were you I would buy an I7 if you can afford it, if not just save up some more money, the I7 is clearly dominating the CPU market. All you really have to worry about is RAM/CPU when botting, if you can get 6GB/12GB DDR3 and an I7 with an overclock I am sure you can reach 10+ bots if not more.

Considered the above ^

Hmmm... I am looking at bundle discounts and for almost the same price, I could get a different tower (thermaltake element g) and the amd II x6.
Should I get that build instead? Would the new case fit all the things that I want (including the liquid cooling) ?

EDIT: the motherboard wouldnt be as good if I picked the combo above. It wouldnt be USB 3.0 and wouldnt be SATA. I think I should go with the build I originally had in mind.

7-8 bots can be run on 4GB but running 8 daily mite b pushing it
