guy is selling for 450$ im wonering if thats a good price and will it run games good? should i pass ?

 

it's somewhat old. Has a 2nd gen cpu, and a pretty weak gpu that goes with it. You could find something brand new that's better than that for ~500.
I'd say pass.

build a desktop yourself. It's seriously so easy. If you can't figure it out yourself there's step by step build guides out there. Pretty much anyone will tell you not to buy a pre-built desktop. And unless you're looking for portability there's not reason not to go desktop.

That's a 3rd gen CPU which is fine, but it's not new. RAM is fine, the SSD will fill up fast though. That's not much space. 14" is standard but watch the resolution. If you want a lot of screen space you'll need a 15.6" at 1366x768 or a 14" at 1920x1080. Graphics card isn't listed which makes me think it's integrated. If you're playing games, you won't like the performance a single bit.

Spend at least $700 and get yourself something decent.

Intel HD graphics is integrated graphics. Again, not good for gaming. You need a system with a dedicated GPU

You still haven't given us an actual number for your budget, but if that's within your budget, go for it.

 

400-500 that's why I'm looking at reberbished laptops on newegg

 

If you're going integrated make sure it's at least the Intel 4000 graphics (on 4th gen haswell chips).

No, a laptop is not a desktop. You cannot easily upgrade graphics card (it's usually impossible). The only things you can upgrade on a laptop realistically are RAM and the hard drive.

You might be able to use desktop GPU on a laptop if your laptop allows it tho
