Is Paypal safe for trading accounts?

Hey, simple question - is it safe?
I'm looking to sell an RS account for about $150 on Paypal, though I'm not quite sure as to how safe this is, as to whether the person can easily charge the money back. Or, if there's any ways to ensure they can't charge it back. i.e. sending as a gift?

Also, what happens if I get the $150 USD, then spend it or transfer it to my bank, and then it gets charged back. How does paypal deal with that?

 

Paypal is unsafe can chargeback whenever and when you spend it and it gets chargebacked you go negative balance

 

There's no way to ensure you can't get charged back. Gift or not, payments can always be reverted. Next off, when you get charged back at a zero balance, you go into negative credit and your PP can no longer be used until you come back into positive credit.

 

What if I'm given a negative balance, will they try to make me pay it?

you can always make new pp's they dont give two shits, however If the person that is sending the money via paypal puts "I'm gifting X amount of dollars for virtual goods and will not dispute the payment" it makes it infinatly harder (Haven't had anyone recover money from me that way or maybe ive just been lucky with getting legit traders)

 

Might just ask whoever to buy RSGP with their PP (if they even can lol) and give that to me instead.

 

Correct, try using WU although it is not as quick/easy as PP, waiting a few hours to avoid being charged back is well worth it.

 

If I was you, use an OMM or a MM, or even easier use player auctions.

 

if you get $150, spend it down to $0 and they make a chargeback claim, your account goes into -$150. If you don't pay that back they call you and send you letters and may take legal action after a while.Only accept paypal from really, really trusted members (staff, big buyers/sellers)

 

It's as safe as any other trade. Which means it's very unsafe... my paypal got limited because of chargebacks etc.. I hate paypal

 

My Paypal got limited too after a charge-back.

Thank God I have already used up the cash on the pp account.

In essence, Paypal is definitely not safe for trading with newcomers and untrusted members.
