Is Overwolf allowed still?

Hey, I've never really gotten into League as I was always quite heavily against it. I still really dislike the community considering there's so much toxicity, but regardless the game seems quite fun to play, especially ARAM with just friends.

Regardless, my question here is that I used to use Overwolf overlay with some apps who really made the game easier, but also teached me alot about the game. Last year or so however I heard from my friends that it was now bannable. I asked them again today but they don't really know what the current ruling is about them. Does anyone know if Overwolf and it's apps are still bannable for League?

Overwolf won't get you banned. They published an article a few weeks ago stating this and also have a video of Riot endorsing them.

That being said... Overwolf is cool and everything like that but all you really need is Op.gg and U.gg. I would stick to using only those two for builds, enemy team stats, your team stats, etc. Those two sites were what helped me most and also Youtube.

Either way, its all up to you and you're safe to use Overwolf.

 

I’ve read alot about it now and asked around, thank you for your words too. I’ve used Blitz for a while now and don’t think I will switch to Overwolf and it’s apps for now. Thanks!

 

I used to use Overwolf for a long time.
Made the switch to Blitz due to some PC usage issues - haven't looked back since!
