Tournament on os for IRL GP

So jagex are releasing a PVP torny for irl money.

However only 40 people essentially can enter(8 teams of 5)

Realistically I think you'll need a fairly big name youtuber in your team to get accepted into this as its such small pickings for the amount of people that are probably going to enter at the chance of free money, Just thought i'd share this with you all though.

I remember the days of the RuneScape Battle Ladder where we had wars like this every other day, it was probably the best time i had in RuneScape, anyone else remember/was in the RSBL?

 

Some clan members of mine did this for a Jagex run tournament for a chance to win.... maybe a flight to their headquarters? I don't really remember. All the finalists had max nex armour back then. I'm sure the top teams will be distinguished by their bank roll once again

 

how will they select who gets chosen to enter?

and @ bogla I believe it states that they'll provide gear/max stats

I want to enter this! Why only 8 teams?! They should have like 32 teams like march madness this thing would blow up! Plus live streams!

 

I really like the idea of this ! does that mean everyone in your team would be automatically maxed? I think I would prefer using my own stats

 

Yeah i do believe everyone will be maxed and have access to any gear of their choice.

I also wish they would allow 32 teams, like they said though, this is their first one for money, if it gets good traction they will do more

 

It'll probably just be whoever has the biggest bank and warring experience wins. I can imagine half of the people taking part going there with hybrid gear thinking they can use the same strategies as an edgeville 1v1 and losing, so the whole thing will be stacked on a couple of teams.

 

"Hey guys! Lets put 15k in price winnings in a tournament instead of using the cash on stabilizing the servers"

 

when will they give out the teams?

"Applications will open on June 5th and close on the 3rd of July."

It's not listed when the teams will be announced, but it'll probably be some time near after the applications are closed.
