    Question about Ip Address

Not possible unless you linked your personal information with your IP elsewhere. An IP address only gives information about your ISP and location, but if they were able to link it with email accounts, social media accounts from cracks, etc, they could potentially identify a person.

    Question about Ip Address

Ahh makes sense. I assume it'd be difficult for one to crack that kind of information through social media , email accounts etc?

And by linking it you mean creating the account from the IP?

    Question about Ip Address

Like he mentioned, if your IP account traces back to any personal information then the right person with the right tools can trace any of your information.

    Question about Ip Address

Let's just take this random example:

Blackhat user X gets your IP address. He can't do anything except ddos you and look up your provider info. However, if that IP address was used in association with any accounts that have been exposed through cracked databases, they could potentially find your email address. If your email address is then publicly linked to social media, they could find your real identity (or worse - try to hack your email account).

Basically, your real identity on the internet is not directly accessible through your IP address (except by the government who spies on you regardless). If you are careless in leaving a LOT of identifying information on your social media profiles, it is easier to link non-identifying information to a real person if you provide that IRL link through social media, etc.
