Is it alright if I service for a banned user convicted of blackhatting?

So he identified himself as Infernus, and he wanted me to service his 1 def pure for him. Would like to just have confirmation that nothing would happen to me e.g. associated with a blackhatter if I were to service his account for him?

 

Hey, AFAIK I don't think this is against Sythe rules (but please confirm with staff before proceeding). But I would suggest against taking payment from a banned member. Here at Sythe, it takes a lot of proof for a user to be banned; and as such, is done so accordingly. If the user is banned, there is a good reason behind that ban.

For a user to be banned, a required proofs is a PM confirmation of the Skype account you are talking to. If this is not provided, the accusation will therefore be invalid and won't proceed further. Here, you are unable to receive that PM. So, in the event that the user does decide to scam you (by chargeback) you will be unable to hold anyone accountable for their actions.

I would strongly advise against this, if it is not already against the rules. I understand that association with undesirables is against the rules and is severely punishable - and as such, this might constitute something along those lines.

 

Thank you for your input, it is much appreciated. However, Infernus does seem like a good guy at heart (Although this does not justify for what he has done which resulted in him being banned) and I will still go ahead with servicing his pure for him. I've talked to Zuzel over Skype and I was given the green light. Infernus will be paying me with 07 gp so I doubt there isn't much to worry about.

 

In that case, there is no worry about a chargeback. If Zuzel has given you the green light, then there is really nothing to worry about!
