When it comes down to it you just need to be smart about you trade with .

I think postcount, amount donated and join date does count, and ofc vouches too

 

So, somebody who's donated $3,000, been around since '06, and has 3K post count, but has only traded with anybody twice isn't trusted? I beg to differ.

 

Post count to me means nothing unless 2500+ as that shows some serious activity. Join date is good if it'd get have vouches to match, if they haven't been banned in like five years and do trade a fair bit then it's reassuring. Donation rank helps to a point IMO, if someone donates $25 (50m) you would think its unlikely they would scam for 40m, but after the trades exceed value of donation I don't pay to much attention to rank. However donation does also show commitment to the site, so I do believe that donation is one of the most valued things, as like vouches you can put a price on it.

 

I usually check the quality of posts to see if it's spam.

 

Anyone can be trusted given the right circumstances.

 

Trust comes to you over time.

I have only 50 vouches (a lot to some) yet a lot of people say I am trusted.
I don't know how I do it but I guess just being a nice person and being involved in the community contributes a lot.

 

Trust is subjective, there is no absolute way of getting trusted, there is no set and defined rule, theres no boundary.

 

You will get a better rep, all you haft to do is carry on with your small trades, the more you do the more you trust you will get, the only way I can see is stay cautious with who your trading for a while, if you make a service 'Sellling gold/offering services' that's how most people build up their trust because after a numberous of people who have used it, you instantly become a lot more trusted than you was before it, but that also is a problem if you just do your there and then trade's :| Just stay how you are, you'll get more vouches overtime, more postcount & because the time goes on, your join date won't worry anyone either, I'd count you as trusted to me though

 

I trade with people on a basis of vouch count, and quality of vouches. For instance, if someone has sold 100+ pins, I'd trust them over someone who has sold 1B, as it's dealing with more people, even though the vouch might be of a smaller amount. Why would they mess around with smaller amounts? I have over 100 vouches from Upgrades, but I'd expect people to see me as "trusted", partially because I've been trading for a while, but also traded a lot of people and gone first, as well as second. (And I've never used an OMM, only a free one, and that has only been 2-3 times).

However, donation ranks, postcount and join dates shouldn't make a difference. Why you ask?

Donations - Stolen Funds etc, will be used to gain temporary trust while they scam and then c/b as the original owner of the cc gets it back.

Postcount - Spam Whores. People who have 200 PPD are using these type of people, or even those who are here for off-topic, such as people who have become global with 4 vouches, could scam, as they have no real proof of trading, just a rank that makes most JITP.

Join Date - Someone makes an acc in 2006, forgets about sythe, remembers about it, has 0 vouches, someone trusts them with 1B b/c of their date which "automatically means they are legit", and gets scammed, as they might have only come back to scam......

Trade Safely guys, if they refuse an OMM, report them, and get the hell outta the trade.

 

tbh as long as you dont scam there shouldnt be a problem
