Is gold swapping not allowed?

I have just recently come back to RuneScape after a couple years away. In the meantime my brother has been using my account on OSRS to do COX and to help with his account. He managed to make a lot of gold from COX and when I returns he told me that he will swap some gold from his OSRS using a a trusted site and they will give me the equivalent in RS3 gold. He traded it over and it took some time but they gave me the gold. A week later I have been given a RWT ban for a few days and they’re removing all the gold from my account… I have appealed and we even have screenshots of the whole transaction from both ends. We used a site called oak dice. The name of his account and mine (before I changed it when I took the account back) are almost identical apart from one word and he has images of him giving them the gold. I’m really upset I was really enjoying getting back into the game. I have appealed and am awaiting their decision. Is this a common thing that people get banned for? And how do the appeals usually go?

 

Probably gold that you traded was real world traded. Maybe bought from other person or that person got it illegitimate way. Next time is better to drop trade in wildy
