Is buying rares/items better than straight GP ?

I bought like 3-4B, ~6months ago and got a warning.

Wanted to know if there was less of a detection trigger when buying a rare instead or expensive pvm gear instead of GP? Anyone here got a warning or 3 day from doing items instead?

 

I’ve been trying to find this out for the past 2 months. I got a warning also. Hopefully we find out.

 

Same here! It seems like RWT has died out. Been trying to determine if it’s worth it to buy an item for a few months. Recently got back into the game and I’m looking for a safer way to get cash.

Everything I’ve seen so far shows that it’s probably not an issue if you don’t buy it from someone who uses low level characters to trade, but I’m still skeptical.

 

Yep it is dying. They started targeting buyers and I’m sure it obvious to Jagex. If I could get away with buying a rare that would be all I need. I’m just paranoid because not everyone gets the 3 day ban and I don’t want to get perm’d. I’ve put years of work into the account I have now. So we will see. If not I’ll just keep grinding it out unfortunately. Stay safe bro.

 

maybe its "safer" to buy items than gp. no1 here knows for sure.
