Is BTC worthless?

I think the more uses bitcoin has, the more stagnant or stable it will become. I'd say within the next couple of years the adoption of bitcoin will increase and bitcoin will change from a unstable market where people are taking a chance in keeping their money in btc, to one where people will keep their money stored regularly. The problem with this however would be regulation of bitcoin and nature of the decentralized crypto currency. If there were a way to centralize bitcoin, I think that a bitcoin loan market would increase the potential of more people wanting to use bitcoin, but I don't see that happening due to possible regulation.

I think calling it very unstable is too kind a phrasing..

wallets could disappear tomorrow.. tonight.. now.. & persecuted with extreme prejudice.. driving the market so far underground a great many wouldn't even want to ask around about it.. much less deal in it..

what it is imho.. is a high risk investment..

what I think you're looking for.. also in my very humble opinion.. is more reassurance than any community could ever provide on it's.. security..

don't get it twisted.. I'm not callin' yuh ignorant.. not suggesting you don't know the market you're involved in.. just sayin' ;-)

I will say though.. if in years to come.. people have a little more confidence in it .. a little more familiarity in the idea of it for no more reason than some time has passed.. I wouldn't be surprised if either some stability came from it.. or that persecution..

 

Last year was intense on how crazy the market was spiking. I was in on it to see it get wild. Now its been staying around the same amount for long periods of time. It has to take something major to move the market now I imagine.

 

I agree, something major needs to give BTC a little kick.

 

I think value will increase as long as they can avoid hacks

 

That's like saying Paypal is worthless, or Amazon gift cards are worthless - no, they hold value. Monetary value.
