    Is bitcoin losing its demand?

It seems like a lot of people are pulling out on using bitcoin as a form of payment. Is this the start of the already decline?

I accept it because you can't charge back, but it's so unstable that I really hate to accept it. It's kind of a love/hate relationship >.<

It's really useful as it's anonymous and you can't chargeback it.

Usefulness can only go so far with it's current stability. As much as I like the ability to not get payments reversed, the price fluctuation is a gamble. A lot of people don't like to gamble with their money.

    Is bitcoin losing its demand?

People who use bitcoin exclusively haven't moved on to another currency, and people who already adopted bitcoin as an additional payment method won't bother to stop using it once they have it. I don't see any way it is becoming less popular, aside from 'investors' who aren't interested in bitcoin's main purpose anyway.

    Is bitcoin losing its demand?

I've never bought into the bitcoin, I always thought of it as a temporary form of payment and it would die down. It has.

It's a basic stock effect, it became a certified payment method which raised the prices for BTC through the roof ($1k for a bitcoin). They are already working for a method which you can pay everything not-online with Bitcoin aswell. Say you go to the supermarket buy your groceries, account gets credited via forinstance your smartphone. Imo if Bitcoin has the proper and correct marketing for it they will grow with this. Imagine a world in which there is no difference for online and offline pay, seems amazing imo.

I doubt serious merchents are pulling away from bitcoin. I personally use it a lot and have made quite a fair bit of profit purely thanks to bitcoin. Viva la bitcoin!

Where are you getting that idea?

As far as I know bitcoin is used more now than it ever has. More bitcoin startups and research projects are launching nearly every day. More merchants are accepting it than ever.

This. "Not going up in price" does not mean it is not being used. Bitcoin is a currency primarily, not an investment.

Currency can't be an investment? Bitcoin is seen as an investment to many people because it doesn't have a set value. For that reason there is a lack of trust involved with the currency. There are other reasons also blockading the takeoff of the currency despite being labled a commodity by the U.S.

Why bitcoin has failed to achieve liftoff as a medium of exchange

Watch the video. It raises some questions about the flexibility of bitcoin.

I feel that bitcoin doesn't feel like a 'proper' currency. I take BTC when selling 07GP to newcomers/untrusted sythe members, but quickly exchange to paypal with trusted users such as bogla. This is to ensure I can sell to newcomers without the risk of chargebacks, whilst getting a good price. People like Bogla buy the gold for close to 1:1 (excluding fees) as currencies such as Paypal (e.g) only allow them to send 'x' amounts per month/week.

Last time I checked, no large companies have quit offering bitcoin as a payment method. Not sure what your sources are, but you are misinformed.

Any source? Cuz out of personal experience alone I hear and see more and more people using BTC and it's also expanding to new market possibilities.
Seems like you made a statement based on 1 of your friends not using BTC anymore.
