Is automatic bumping allowed?

Let's say we have 24/7 customer support. Is it allowed to "auto bump" (using software to post) every 8 hours or so?

I googled sythe auto bumper and saw someone selling the product, but just wanted to make sure it was allowed before I make my own verison.

i don't see why using software to bump your thread would be against the rules. i actually made something that did this in the past but never used it

 

As long as it doesn't bump too early it shouldn't be a problem

keep bumps at 8 hours, doesn't matter how you do it
