Hmm my router has a password and my Touch connects just fine. Maybe you have a problem with your iPod? If you don't get it working, maybe trying restoring it through itunes before sending it back to Apple.

make sure you are inputing the "network key" not the "password"
the password helps you get into your router settings and change them. your network key is the one that allows you to connect to ur wifi.

hmm let me see if i can find the network key

should be very long. normally 12 or 24 characters. ask your dad for it he should have it

i did he told me and i tested it on my comp i selected his network and put the pass and it worked but when i try on my itoch doesnt connect =/

i dunno than. i dont own one so i cannot be of more help. try contacting the apple customer support tonight by email or tomorrow morning by phone. they should be of more help.

What I did, I used the "forget this network" feature... The passkey can be found at the bottom of you modem/router.

shouldn't this be in the Tech Help section? O.o

anyways customer support :) even though their always annoying..

Mine wouldn't connect sometimes, but this was because its summer here and our wireless router overheated those times. We had to unplug it for 10 mins or so, then it would connect once we plugged it back in.

Also, wireless phones can stop your touch from connecting, and any other interference.

McDonalds has unprotected wifi, so if it didn't work there, there is a problem with the ipod.
