IP Flagging?

Thinking about starting a bot farm and was curious about the whole IP flagging. So say I have an account botting and it gets banned. I make a new account get it through tutorial etc, is that account already flagged because I made it on the same IP as the account that got banned? What if I made an account on another IP and played it on the IP that had the account banned? Basically when does the account get flagged, creation before login, or playing of the account?

Botfarmers do it for the profit, they consider you as competition, they won't share their business secrets. Find out yourself.

When you get banned every account, past, present, and future that touches that IP will be flagged automatically.

It is true. Give me an example of when it's not.

It's not true, well, not entirely atleast.
When you probably speak from assumptions, I speak from experience.
Ofcourse it might sometimes have a noticeable influence, but this doesn't guarantee that any account you login to from the IP will be automatically flagged.
If that was the case, I'd have not a single account anymore.
Maybe in theory that's how you think it works, but in reality, it doesn't.
Don't ask me how exactly accounts get flagged though, I only know that it's not heavily reliant on the IP.

Y'all are assuming I'm implying things that I'm not implying. Allow me to clarify:

1. Just because your account is flagged does not mean you will be banned.
2. The more time that passes between bans means the chances of being flagged is less.
3. Story Time

Over my 6 years of botting, I've botted over 10,000 hours and received bans on over 40 accounts. I also use to operate a gold farm of about 20 accounts. I monitored my farm very closely, and one day I witnessed my accounts being picked off, one by one, across different worlds. After about 14 accounts were banned, in front of my eyes, I force killed the remaining 6. All 14 accounts were perm banned. The 6 that I forced killed were not banned, and are still unbanned to this day. All the accounts were operated on the same IP. I also continued to bot on other accounts I had, none of which received any blackmarks.

Ultimately, being flagged doesn't necessarily mean you will be banned, even if you're continuing to bot. It simply means the risk increases. Also, unless you have someone inside Jagex, there's no way to know for sure or prove that your IP or accounts are flagged.

You're reasoning is correct, but a single account banned is not nearly enough to get you IP flagged. You need to be running a farm like operation to be flagged, which is why VPS/VPNs are high risk of being flagged. 1-3 accounts being botted from the same ip will not concern them at all. Especially considering the frequency of an ip being shared across multiple users via legitimate means ( universities for example ). I'd suspect you need 50+ accounts banned to get a flag at all based on my experiences. Of course, there is likely priorities assigned to flagged ips based on how many accounts have been banned. A public VPN would be extremely high priority and a lone farmer with 50 accs banned on his ip would be moderate priority.

While you could be right, ultimately there's no way for any of us to know for sure the number of accounts or circumstances required for being flagged. It's also possible that there are different tiers of flags. As an example, 1 ban could be the lowest tier, while many bans could be a higher tier. Again, a lot of this is just speculation since no one can know for sure.
