Invention Ideas 101

So.. I wanted to educate myself on making an invention and how to go about with it, patents, copyrights, where to make the actual product etc.

If you don't have something good to contribute do the following:
1) Take your mouse and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
2) Stich your hole shut.
3) Go to the washroom and try to open the stitching hands-free [be creative people].

Also, I'd like this to be a general thread of if people even believe someone can pull off an invention if approached properly. Discuss...

Finally, if any of you are educated in this field or feel you have something worth while to contribute on how to actually make the product, or know any sites/places where they will make the product and think you know how to market it, feel free to say something.
If not, please refer your self to my three step answer if you feel perplexed.

Well first your going to need an idea and money. Then your going to want
to patent your idea which info can be found here http://www.tannedfeet.com/patent_law.htm

Then your going to want to introduce your idea to a company
and hope they accept your new invention.

I was actually wondering how your suppose to actually make the actual product.... do you go to a manufacturer or what..?

 

Im pretty sure you have to have a blueprint of the design and then pay someone to make it for you, then you take that to the company your trying
to sell the product to.

 

plan. Construct simple models. Plan some more.

Design it on some kind of software,
Go to a patents office or an online website, and register a patent on it, be very precise on what your "Thing does and is"

Per sue someone rich, or a company that could possibly commercially produce your product.
