    Introduction Thread

Ive seen alot of people over my years here on sythe posting their
introductions in the General Discussion board.
I personaly believe there should be a Introduction Thread
this will help people get to know new users and learn a little about them.
Also if you can, you can make it so post count does not go up in that board
meaning there will be less bone heads trying to get a quick post in their count.

Think this would benefit the forums greatly and bring everyone a little
    closer together.

    Thanks

Indrodutcions I think are useless, but if they must be done, they should all be in one spot, so i agree.

I would prefer an introduction forum, where post count was disabled...

An introduction forum would be stupid at this point, but if they were going to add one, post count would definitely be disabled.

This seems like a good idea.
Like most people agreed post count shouldn't go up in those forums.

I think its a good idea but will never work. The forum would just be filled with people saying "hi i'm new" and a bunch of people saying hi back. Would turn very inactive because you couldn't discuss anything else there without it being spam. I think the idea is good, but can never be established the way you are thinking.

I don't think its a bad idea. What I think would make things easier for everyone and all is to make a sticky in the spam forum. Thread title would be like Introduce yourself, and right there the person would put their interests or any other thing they would want us to know about them.

Good idea, and we could add a link on the main page, or a sticky in the gernal to tell the new guys that?

I support adding a forum for introductions. This way it'd keep all that junk out of community general and keep people from using introductions as a way to raise post count.

This suggestion has been approved. A new Introductions forum has been added in Community General and posts there do NOT count.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
