Hello once more.

This time Tgump has jumped on the stage, and got into the mix of things. He is a Sythe.org runescape moderator who devotes his time into this forum. He is much liked and seems to be a fair person. You don't know Tgump until you've read this interview. Enjoy:love:

Hello Tgump, ready to find out more about yourself?
I guess, sure.

How did you find Sythe.org, why did you join?
I can't remember how I ever found Sythe, but I was actively playing Run Escape at the time (it was worth playing then around mid-2005). I lurked on and off. I didn't realize I could actually register until 2006. Haha. Then, around this time two years ago, Sythe.org was hacked and Sythe had to revert to an 8-month copy and everyone lost a bunch of accounts. Worked out for me in the end though since I got to change my name from 'tgump' to 'Tgump'.

Name one user you respect the most, and why.
For retired, Jansen. Put a ton of work into the site, and still lurks for the lulz. For present, probably Shredderbeam. Oh, if you're reading this, Darren. THE GAME. THE GAME.

How did you get into Runescape?
I have no recollection of that. I just remember hearing about it...it's all fairly hazy. I would have to say I started playing around 2002 though, when browser-based games were a brand-new world.

What is the most annoying thing about being a Runescape moderator on Sythe.org?
The average IQ of RS forums user. Currently, it's full of people that don't read stickies. I've suggested a few things to Matthew to help aid this (like forcing users to read a certain thread before they can post) but he just shoots them down.

What was your favorite moment since joining Sythe.org?
When EternalMage was revealed. Well, EternalMage was pretending to be a female on Sythe for a while now, until someone (Daily, I think) linked his (her?) email to a male's myspace account. EternalMage was banned, and now Eternal'Man' lurks around IRC.

What is you favourite section on Sythe.org?
Something For All. Mainly because of the no-spam policy and intelligent debates there. In other forums you'll get a bunch of unrelated crap to the thread which isn't really classed as 'spam' (thank you rules!) but in SFA it's fairly strict which keeps the crap out.

Tell us one thing about yourself we dont know.
I got my name from my nickname when I was younger and my middle name (tyler). Basically, my father would always call me 'gump' after the movie, so they would end up calling me Tyler Gump. It ended up getting shortened to Tgump and there you have it.

How hard is it being a moderator on Sythe.org?
The power at first is sort of cool ("hey, look, I can ban people") But eventually it becomes a chore that will suck the life out of you. It basically becomes the same routine day after day (I blame this on the rules system)

Do you moderate the forums out of love for it, or because your obliged to do it?
A bit of both. I'm out of school now, so I've got plenty of free time.

Is there any members of staff you dont get along with?
It's all good. There are a few things, but I'll keep those private.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Rome, because of the history behind it. I've always wanted to see their ancient remains, like aquaducts.

Name one thing in life that has changed it forever.
When I became an Atheist, probably. Mainly social and mental freedom. I wasn't bound by a nurtured Zeitgeist anymore.

What is one thing in life you can't stand seeing, and why?
Someone who will block out reason just because it interferes with their beliefs - someone who was raised to believe 2+2 = 5, for example, will continue to believe 2+2=5 even after being proven that 2+2=4.

What do you do in your spare time?
Sythe, haha. Friends, family, etc. When there's this chunk of free time the interbuts are what I spend it on

What do you strive to ultimately achieve in your life?
Seeing all Religion and faithful thinking abolished. Religion has been used to control the masses for hundreds of years, and just now it's starting to really affect our country. If things continue, I wouldn't be able to live my life.

If you could change one thing on Sythe.org, what would it be and why?
The rules. I think the rules are too lenient right now, and that's why we're getting so much spam. Users realize they can spam or whatever, wait until it expires, then do it again with no consequences.

I did this interview fairly quick. And for Gump it was 3am, so I'm sure his anwsers would've been longer had it not been so late.

Any mods who want an interview PM me PLEASE. I have trouble hunting you down.

Good questions Arrow, it was easy to read. Good luck getting to Rome, Gump! :)

Is 'Grand Masterbater' supposed to be spelled incorrectly? Also, I completely agree with you on the rules being too lenient. Everywhere you go, you see stupid people posting stupid, unrelated crap. It's dragging down the overall quality of these forums.

Not really a question, but i love your avatar Tgump:p

If you saw a homeless person on the street dying, would you be willing to give them CPR?

I love you Gump.

That is all.
