So you would instigate violence against someone for a passive non-aggressive private activity they do in the privacy of their own home, because you disagree with it. That's the most contemptible and vile invasion of personal liberty I have yet heard on this forum.

It doesn't matter what signals come down the line. It really doesn't. You shouldn't even be privy to said signals. You should mind your own business.

Lets put this on the other foot. Say you have devout Muslims of some description living in your neighbourhood. And they perceive that a practice taking place in your home is untasteful, in exactly the way you described in your previous post. Perhaps it is that you view ANY pornography at all... They might regard this as a crime. Do they now have the right to come into your home and kidnap you, hold you indefinitely, and steal your property?

Here are the facts pertaining to the original scenario: all parties in this scenario are in consentual agreement. Therefore there is no injury or damage, there is no suit, no standing, no case. And even if there were, you wouldn't be a party to the matter. So mind your own fucking business.

So what is your stance on Child Porn? Do you find it disgusting, but censoring it conflicts with your principles? It comes down to this, blocking websites just makes trouble. If internet porn is blocked, people will just get DVDs SIMPLE AS THAT. So really this is just making everybody pissed off

You're ignoring the fact that the filter is completely unworkable and pointless. Anyone with half a brain can easily bypass it entirely, while still suffering from a massive decrease in connection speed.

It's completely irrelevant. What are the facts? Two separate, unconnected causations. One is a peaceful, voluntary, contractual agreement (internet service provision) and the other is violent rape. And you want to go after the peaceful contractual agreement!? You want to instigate violence against the peaceful parties? Are you mad!? If you really cared you would be doing something to stop the violent rape, which is the only actual crime being committed here.

The idea and purpose behind preventing child pornography is good, but the government needs to realise that it is impossible to prevent people accessing these sites.
