Interesting rap song

I don't even like rap, but i heard this few months ago and can't get enough of it, such story to the song and its pretty shocking:



Opinions?

 

kid, this song is pretty fucking lyrical...all raping and murdering aside...and he does have a lot of good music...and he's certainly not over rated.

 

1.) It would be inappropriate to refer to me as "kid" when you have no knowledge of my age especially when my grammar and vocabulary wouldn't suggest so.

2.) Yes, yes it is. That is the point of this thread, to discuss the significance of the song and the crude backstory.

3.) Please quote me in my OP where i stated that Immortal Technique is over-rated, as i do not recall sir.

 

totally knew right when I saw the title that it would be immortal technique. great song, i remember hearing this for the first time yeeeears ago and havin' my mind blown by it too.

 

Near the middle the lyrics gone down in quality. It's pretty basic, the beat sucks and his flow was a bit off. I guess it was okay, but I don't like it personally.

Can't say i agree really, i thought it was a good build up and got progressively better towards the end as the story climaxes , are any of his others song as good?

 

Ehh Immortal has a few other songs that are a'ight, but if you're a huge fan of this you might be a lil disappointed by some of his other shit.

 

Yeah, when I first heard it like half a year ago, I was pretty amazed. It's currently on my Top 25 Playlist on Itunes.

Eh, I feel that "Kid" has really lost its meaning on the internet. No need to take it so literally.

Actually, many people think that IT is over-rated. He was not necessarily trying to say that you think IT is overrated.

Peruvian Cocaine and Point of No Return are the only two songs by IT I bother listening to. Dance with the Devil is good but it's a little sick for me.

 

Your grammar and vocabulary might be advanced but not advanced enough to hide the fact that you're going out of your way to project something that should come natural which implies lack of experience

 

I never stated any form of measurement in regards to my intellectual level, that is your own assumption the conclusion you reach from reading my comment.

If replying to a comment and giving feedback is "going out my way to project something", then perhaps you should revise the definition of that term. Thirdly this thread was created to discuss the supplied resources/content, i would prefer not to steer away from the OP and talk about myself as it is irrelevant and lust, is spam.

 

Ohh i shall have to check them out , well lucky i have a particularly twisted sense of humour, i like the sick elements to the song, its intriguing.

 

Immortal Technique is so ill... Dance With the Devil has been one of my favourite songs for years now. It is such a haunting, chilling song, it literally gives me a shiver down my spine every time I listen to it, you can feel the evil just pouring out of his mouth as he tells the story.

As for the rest of his music, Immortal Technique's lyrics are incredibly poetic, political, thought-provoking, and he is a phenomenal story teller. If you like the story he told in Dance With the Devil, here is another song that you may fall in love with. This is one of my favourite songs of all time, and the love story is so beautifully sad, and spoken softly over a super chill beat:

immortal technique is sick. not EVERY song is this epic but generally speaking all his music has a great deep lyrical meaning to it. another great by him is "you never know"....... scrolling a bit through this and clicking the vids i saw zerker had already linked you never know ... it really is a beautiful song

 

I agree with this, the problem was at the middle but other than that it was ok

 

I don't really like it, the only rap i like is the old Eminem songs

 

Old Eminem songs are very good.
