Afaik, a lot of users post in the section not to participate in a discussion, but rather to just raise post count. A clear example is this:

A lot of these replies are talking about euthanasia, which is not what I'm asking. I'm saying if someone really doesn't like the direction their life is taking nor the circumstances or situations they find themselves constantly in, would assisted suicide be a reasonable alternative.

If a person is ill and there is no hope of recovering and they are in constant pain, then I think they should be given the option to be able to pass a bit sooner.

Yes, but only if someone is terminally ill without any chance for recovery.
It should always be supervised tho

I feel that this is nothing short of a disgrace to the section. Should such posts be infractable?

That is not trying to raise post count. They are just giving their honest opinion. If you think they are trying to raise their post count, just report their post.

Na it's fine, if he really doesn't like my opinion and thinks it's "post count spam" which it wasn't then I'll just delete the post. Saves much hassle.

A terminal illness is a situation one might find themselves in, they're replying that assisted suicide is acceptable in that case. Thus answering the OP correctly.

There just needs to be a mod that is really dedicated to that section to keep it not full of crap and there really isn't one at the moment. Just report them and it will be dealt with.
