Pretty funny how we never notice them until we're older

 

Someone caught a 'Julien Donkey Boy' reference in the childrens show Spongebob Squarepants- and its uncanny, not just speculation. Harmony Korine, obscure director of said film is also the mastermind behind 'Kids' and 'Gummo' , both equally nasty and bizarre. You can imagine how out of the blue it is to see a cult director's work referenced in this show. +1 Spongebob.

That's pretty interesting lol. Tbh I've been wanting to see Kids for sometime now, though I've heard it is pretty disturbing (and the soundtrack is done by one of my favorite artists).

 

Disturbing for some. Its a very raw, honest portrayal of 90's youth, and still pretty valid towards our generation also.

The soundtrack is comprised of many great 90's artists, who are you referring to exactly? Highlights for me would be Slint (all-time favorite band) and Folk Implosion.
