Fix this please?

Edit: Change the subject a little bit not sure if should move to suggestions now.

Can we start something where we can counter people saying "X amount of vouches in their threads" when it does not correspond in the slightest with their vouch thread. It should be a rule that only listed/quoted vouches in the vouch thread count.

I don't know if this would be viable, because some big names would have to do a lot of updating on their vouch thread. But on the other hand they shouldn't have been neglecting it in the first place I guess. Vouch threads start to become quite irrelevant. New customer would have to judge off replies or views of a certain thread to check for legitimacy instead of just visiting the vouch page which was meant for this. If you decide not to update your vouch page, fine but your thread title should be edited than.

 

I vaguely remember a mod saying that you're allowed to add offsite vouches on your thread title. (Not 100% sure)

 

i doubt he quotes every vouch from his threads..

This should be a no-brainer to be honest. A lot of the larger members use their offsite vouches as a way to further boost themselves here (Dbuffed is a prime example). However if I report a new member for this; it'll instantly be removed.

 

First of all if he doesn't quote it means it's just a random guess and it can be completely incorrect.

Second of all even if all vouches are quoted not even near 2k vouches + as mentioned before it's not allowed to put off-site vouches here so the twitter pictures wouldn't count as vouches.

 

I have vouches on my swapping threads that i did not put on my vouch page. I have well over 2k Vouches.

Vouches don;t Necessarily have to be all on your vouch page to be documented as a vouch just saying. As long as a sythe member on this website has made a vouch for you, whether its on your service threads or vouch page itself.

If you really feel i don't have 2k vouches, id like to see you post a video of yourself counting all vouches on all my threads and post it here if you are so firm that i don't have 2k vouches merely because my vouch page only has 600 vouches..

 

All my 2k vouches are here buddy. But like i said, your only reporting me because my vouch page has 600 replies, which does not condensate all my vouches on this website and from this website. Go count the vouches on my swapping threads also totaling 4k+ posts.

 

A perfect example of this also is that Alex2012 is claiming 6,000+ vouches yet her vouch page only has 300 documented there.

He a moderator agreed with me it's in spoiler. And no I am not showing you a video of me counting it, because that would mean I am doing your dirty work, because you have no time or are to lazy to count it up.


Raw estimate: you have times 2.5 my replies, and you only do swapping we could very roughly estimate your vouches in thread @ let's say 450 x 2.5 (I have 550 vouches approx where from 450 are from swapping). = 1125 Vouches + estimated 600 in vouch thread and we don't at the pictures as that's not a vouch. You'd be estimated at a max 1725 vouches which is atleast 275 vouches short. This is a basic estimate the amount of vouches when you actually go count them and take in account to do - the people who fill in your "Swapping Form" you'd be at say 1500 ish ?

 

First of all as he only has 1k ish listed I think there should be measurements against this aswell, only the problem is that there is no rule that you have to list vouches and estimating his vouches taking in account his Vouch page and his 13 Sythe Threads it could be correct.



I'd like to see a rule which disallows people to put in random numbers in the title of your thread if it doesn't correspond with your vouch thread.



Also: The fact that other people do it aswell doesn't mean everybody is allowed/should do it. If it was up to me I'd take down all the people who did this.

Ban em all. I doubt the number of vouches on a thread title has to be exact, i'm sure staff would allow a very good estimate, if he claims to have 2000+ and has 1900 I don't think they'd ban him over it.... Also, i'm sure they wouldn't waste there time counting all his vouches either.

 

I am assuming that "Threads" was a typo for "thread" because you are only allowed to have one thread, and that thread at this moment has 2,815 replies
or is 2815 > 4000 these days?

 

Not at all saying that he has fake vouches. He does not have fake vouches.
Just saying that thread title is incorrect/lie. I think this should be fixed for everyone who does that imo not just Oakdice. Otherwise everyone could just put 1k+ vouches in their threads and say: "go count them, goodluck" lol.

 

He has DMM and darkscape swapping threads... the total of his replies on all his swapping threads is 3906. That's why he said threads

My opinion is that if someone claims he has X vouches he should be able to prove that he has X vouches (and they should be easily countable, not spread all over the threads). If he can't he simply shouldn't put the number of vouches in the title.
By the logic of having random numbers of vouches people could also put a random donation amount in the thread title?

 

Understand your point, but when you get thousands of vouches it gets rigorous and very bothersome to record each and every one, Take Alex2012 for example like i mentioned earlier. She has 6k Vouches and only recorded 300 on her vouch page, doing all the 6k would take so long..

 

It's true it would take a lot of time, but I think thread titles are something what people consider when they are choosing which thread to click, especially newcomers.
It's not like you have to put the amount of vouches in your thread title anyway, so if you choose to put it you should be able to prove it and not say "count them yourself if you don't believe me".

 

Offsite vouches should be better referred to as "feedback" and not included in the other. So a title should represent "100 vouches 100 feedback". Sorry if you've already covered this I just can't be a'd to read your little fight.

 

This is a free market. People can create and choose what to put on their vouch thread. Hell they don't even need to have a vouch thread. If you have an issue with someone posting "I have 50k vouches" and you only see 100 on the vouch thread. Report them and let staff handle it.

If a trader wants to become more responsible and post all the vouches on their thread, then so be it. But noone should be forced to, it's a free market.
