Inefficient & outdated Inbox Conversation

Conversations (Sythe PMs) are not supposed to be realtime. They are supposed to behave the same way emails do. This can lead to annoying circumstances where you reply to an old message while a new one has already been sent by your counter party.

Most people use PMs to first verify whom they are talking to on an instant messaging platform such as skype or discord, and complete the trade over one of those platforms. We have at multiple times in the site's history attempted to integrate realtime communication directly into the site. However we were never able to dissuade people from using skype. Now we recommend people just use discord (which is very active). You should always request a PM from whomever you are trading to verify they are who they claim to be. After that you can use any IM platform you like.

At this stage we have no plans to replace the PM system. Although when xenforo 2.0 comes out and we eventually upgrade it will be replaced automatically as part of that upgrade with whatever improved version they've developed since this version was made.
