Increase max thread title size

I feel the suggestion is self-explanatory

Most users have 1366*768 or bigger screens now. We should update and enjoy the features that this higher-resolution allows us.

 

Don't see why not. It allows a max of 251 and we use 85 currently.

 

I have a laptop, so everything seems fine with me.

I'm not sure why this really needs increased, but I'm not opposed to the idea (with reason).

 

How would it look on a phone?

 

I'm in support, I've ran out of space in thread titles occasionally.

 

I have never really had a problem with title size, but if others are I don't see a problem with increasing it.

 

Just make it auto-truncate the size if it's going to go on a second line.

It's useful for those in the market - I remember running out of space in the past.

 

I'd be down for 100 characters or so. I don't really want to see threads with titles like this pop up.

 

Tablet/phone users might struggle with the huge titles, especially if half the title is ^*_\+|^_\|gpseller{}^#{*]+{}
I'd support but only to a limit, don't want to spend 5 minutes lookin through each title trying to find the point of the thread.

 

Truncation for mobile theme is my support situation. There's no way I want obnoxious amounts of market nonsense when I'm trying to navigate. I don't use market threads but TBT is my nigga so I know that his suggestion is legitimate in nature.

I support this. + is it possible to allow this symbol ' when a user is writing like Name's Gold Shop. Cause the ' usually dont appear when you create a thread and does like this : Names Gold Shop

(Dont know if fixed cause didnt try to do it again after it happened to me)

 

Pm me when that occurs. It doesn't let you in the original title but I can edit one in.

Current maximum limit seems long enough.

I don't understand what else you need to put into a title, besides the purpose of the thread.

I support but I do think that there should be rules to it for exampel a max amount of symbols you can use and the title must be relevant to the thread and maybe not to much fancy words
