Didn't we get like 1mill votes to bring free tade back? im pretty sure f2p was allowed to vote in that one though.

 

Even if it doesn't get to 1.4 M votes, it'd be okay because more vets might come after the old servers are up instead.

Good point, if we dont get a certain mark, but if afterwards it becomes a greater success than the initial vote redults, they might lower/removed the monthly cost and eventually put a team on it.

I just don't care. Sometimes you do have to move on. Tbh, I am sorta glad now EoC came because it helped me quit the game and move on with my life. I still log in to see if friends are online but that is about it.

Notice you also have to be a member - why couldn't they say let anyone with a total level of 1000+ vote? That way a lot of fake accounts would be excluded...

Just feels like another scam to boost subscriptions.

 

Thanks for letting people know, will keep a lot of spam threads from popping up. I think that 750,000 votes is a tall order, hope we can reach it though! Would be nice not paying an additional membership fee and having bug fixes and such being worked on by Jagex.

 

Lol, that is completely up to the individual themselves and how much of themselves they choose to invest in this.

Distractions will always be present in your life, in one form or another. If you are not disciplined enough to make time for your school work, social life, and other things that are more important, then you should not be playing ANY video games in the first place.

I don't think this poll gives people an incentive to push their life off to the side at all, but that is just me. I know many children play RuneScape, but I would like to think that most of them are at least mature enough to know when it is time to log off and get their HW done or take their girlfriend out etc.

I saw that thread and I did not want to disregard it, I just felt that after reading hundreds of posts on the RSOF that so many people were misinformed about this poll and what the different tiers mean.

I want it to be clear to everybody how the poll works, and that basically the more votes we get the more rewarding it is for everybody involved - right up to the point where it is actually FREE on top of your existing membership fees for the main game.

I will see if I can get this stickied temporarily until the poll is closed.

If those numbers weren't just pulled out of his ass, they are very impressive indeed.

I was one of the "pockets of cynicism" he spoke of on the first day this was announced, until I did some further research into the matter. That is why I wanted to post here and hopefully clear up any confusion for people who have the same doubts that I did! ^_^

 

I don't know if I just completely misread the voting tiers, or whether the terms were slightly changed after some feedback from the community, but I just found out that we really only actually need 500,000 votes for the no additional membership cost!




This seems like a completely reasonable, and achievable goal in 2 weeks. I have already spoken to so many players in-game today who just don't have a fucking clue about the poll, and so I think the key to getting this done is to spread awareness and information to all the airheads that play this game

Once people know what is going on and get on board, I don't see how we possibly could not reach a goal of 500,000 votes.
