Can't seem to get Sythe background color

So I'm new to GFX designing, and I'm creating a thread layout, but I can't make it transparency since all the overlays and stuff clash with each other. I've tried using the Sythes background color id, but when I upload the photo, the color doesn't match the background so it can be "transparent".

I've tried 0f1c2b and it doesn't seem to work, what am I doing wrong?

 

Why does it not work? Can we see an example of how it looks with that color code?

I don't think transparency is the issue here. It's the overlays, is it not? Try using a soft eraser brush (0%) to go along the top of the overlay (removing hard edges).

 

Well that's precisely why I'm asking, as I'm all new to all of this. When I get rid of the background I just a heap of shit going on with the overlays, if I try erase the "darker" areas, it just ends up cutting off bits of the overlay its self. I thought the color coded background would do the trick. :/

 

You would have to go to the individual layers to erase the edges so it's a more natural look. As it stands, if you tried erasing with the whole project on one layer, it's going to erase other stuff.

I mean you could just create a layer out of all the layers and then add a new layer under it. Fill the lower layer with the Sythe background color and erase the edges from the top layer..if that makes sense..?

trust me on this one, its a lot of work but it is so worth it. download gimp, use the color to alpha tool to make all your stocks transparent. it took me 3~ hours to get all my lighting stocks transparent but now I don't need to add a background color for the effects to work without a black box.

 

you underestimate the amount of stocks I have

 

i did 700 lighting stocks alone in gimp dont try me lol

Your layers, overlays, graphics are not the problem here. You need to check your color settings (in Edit), and change your Working Space - RGB. You're probably on Adobe RGB, which change the colors a bit. Try switching it to sRGB IEC#####. If you tried and you still don't get the Sythe color, PM me.
