I'm looking to learn German?

Hi! I'm looking to learn German, just wondering if anybody has learnt any and can recommend somewhere to look? I don't want to enroll into a college course for it as I literally know none of the language bar a few words, but I reallllly want to learn!

Also, are there any Germans on here who can help me? :love:

 

I'm in german 3 right now. I hear just teaching yourself with online resources is best. Watch videos and such.

Dualingo or something like that on iOS is good? Possibly its avaible on Andriod too

 

Have you tried Rosetta Stone's demo course? I used it to learn Spanish and it was so much better than any Spanish class I took in college.

I'm not in Uni, full time job. I love the language.. I do think I want to learn it and move out there though.

 

I learned a good deal over the summer, using a mixture of a few sources (all free).

• Used Livemocha to learn the basics (Google it)
• I got a traveller's guide to German from the public library for a couple weeks
• Listened to audio lessons during commutes and stuff

Overall I'd say I completed a semester's worth of introductory German in the span of about 1-2 weeks without working too hard. Just going on Livemocha a few hours, reading the book, and listening to the audio lessons when I wasn't doing anything.

I've also just started learning German (casually). I'm currently using www.duolingo.com, it's free and beginner-friendly. I only know a handful of words at the moment, but hopefully I'll get somewhere. Hit me up on Skype if you want to practice together or anything.
