im confused with icc

if someone is locked on 2nd boss can i get in with them even though im on the 1st?
need a reply quck as possible please

Yes you can if they are on the second boss and you are on the first when you join his raid and zone in it will ask you if you want to be saved to that raid if you select yes you will be on the second boss also and will no longer be able to fight the first boss til next week

 

NO.

You get saved per boss now, means, if you join a raid that has killed first boss already, you can come back later to kill THAT boss with other raids.

BUT

If you kill 1 boss in hard mode, you will be saved to THAT raid id, so you wont be able to kill the first boss, and cant coem back witha diferent raid, just witht he same raid id, or start another rais WITH the same id and fresh members only.

So

Normal Mode: You get saved per boss.
Hard Mode : You get saved to the raid, like it used to be.

 

i mean can i get in with them if they have done 2 and ive done none, will it just like skip me to where they are or will it like pull them back?

 

Of course you can get in. Your saved up to boss on regular mode. Even if you down 2 bosses and they are 4 bosses in, you can still join.

 

It should save you to their 2 boss kills.

 

Whether normal mode or hard mode. If you've killed one boss and was put on the side, or had to go do something and missed out on the second or third boss kill, when you come back, it will prompt you to be saved to those bosses, for you were not there to kill them, your ID needs to be updated.

If you've killed one boss and there's a separate raid you're wishing to join that has already downed at least one boss, you should be unable to join, at your raid ID's do not match. If this is not true, then Blizzard has made things even more weird.

Being saved in Hard Mode will save you to both 10/25 man on Heroic, which you must complete with the group you started with, or other people if their raid ID's are open. Even if you're saved to Hard Modes, your raid leader can still swap between normal/hard for boss encounters, but you'll be saved to the particular raid in which you started.

You do not get saved per boss, if you join a raid that's already killed bosses you will be saved to them as soon as you down a boss. In normal mode you can merge raid ids, however in hard mode you cannot.

 

Ok, let's say you killed the first 4 bosses of ICC and you leave group. If you want to raid more, you can join a run that has killed AT LEAST those 4 bosses.

Let's say you joined a group doing LK reg. If you kill him, you're lockout will say 12/12 bosses dead. If you don't, you're still at 4/12.

Now let's say you joined a heroic 25man, and you go 6/12. You can only do 25man heroic with that group for the lockout period, meaning you can't kill more heroic bosses with another group of people. HOWEVER, you can join any REG group if they killed at least 6/12.

 

It would be so much simpler if blizzard just made it so that after you killed a boss within a raid lockout period, you were not entitled to gold, emblems, or loot from that boss for the rest of the lockout period, but you could kill it as many times as you wanted.

 

That's a genius idea!

 

there is one problem though. say if it is pre-determined that people are to swap out such as rotating tanks or such, or if it is predetermined that someone could only raid til a certain time. i have had this experience many times being in a raiding guild.
