I'm about to Bomb my SAT Test.

So I forgot I had an SAT test scheduled for tomorrow morning, I thought it was in Feb. I haven't studied even a little for it. I've been really focused on my mid terms which are next week. I tried taking a few practice SAT tests earlier today and have done absolutely horrible. Most of the practice tests have been 15 questions wrong, on most of them I got 10+ questions wrong. I'm completely unprepared... What should I do? Not go? If you tell me to just study all night, I'll just be wayy to tired for the test and do just as bad on it for lack of concentrating. I honestly think it's absolutely retarded they give SAT Tests on Saturdays anyway. 3 of my 7 colleges require an SAT test, my school decided to let me know that like last month, if I had known that I would have taken SATS in my junior year, and better prepare myself by taking pre SATS and atleast setting up 2 SAT tests.

 

It's a bit too late to give you a ton of help, but the best advice I have is to take some more practice tests and for goodness sake don't come on Sythe. Don't stay up too late. Get a decent night's rest and eat a good breakfast. I know it won't increase your knowledge, but you'll be more focused than if you pulled an all nighter studying. Good luck :S

For my ACT I got drunk and high the night before. Woke up to a terrible hangover and made it 1 minute before the test started. Got a 28. You'll be fine.

 

Just relax and read the paper or a book. Eat a bit before, get a coffee on the way. Just focus there and try to do your best, you'll do fine. There really isn't anything else you can do besides that.

You can still book one for march. Unless you're applying to harvard or georgetown, you only have to show your best test. My advice: sit tomorrow's test and if you feel you can improve you score (it matters0 then retake it in march or may.

 

No. No matter what you do don't take the test tomorrow.
Rule #1: Only take the SAT when you're ABSOLUTELY ready.

I'm a freshman and I'm already preparing. Listen to the Sythe Guru take the one in march, work hard study hard and you'll do great.

 

Usually people take it one or two times. Taking it two times helps you prepare to see whats ahead.

 

You'll do alright. You can't really study much for the SAT it's things you've been learning for years. Take this first time as a practice and take it the next time they have it.

 

I took the SAT when I was in 7th grade. I passed it and did better than 42% of all highschoolers in my state. But i was like 5 years younger than everyone who took it.

Not really... I got 96th percentile in 9th grade, and then bumped it up somewhat higher when I took it again my senior year. =| 42nd percentile isn't too hard to get, even with a 7th grader.

 

Take it but cancel your score after it's done if you felt bad about it.

 

That's stupid. They only look at your highest score from each section.

yea not at all :S national average is quite low. Also just don't worry about it. At least this time after you take it you'll realize how unprepared you are then it might motivate you to study more

 

Cram hard and then get 7-8 hours of sleep. You do better with last minute studying when you cram then sleep so your hippocampus can transfer the studying to your long term memories. Rather than keeping it short term and not knowing some the next day.

Also not to mention the first part of your brain to shut down due to lack of sleep is your frontal lobe, where you do all of your logical thinking.
