Death Knight Tanking: Simple Shit.

First off... Whoever said Death Knight's can't keep Aggro are sadly mistaken. 29/35 random raids I kept aggro. The 6 times I lost aggro was because of the DPSers pulling too much dps and even then I regained aggro with Death Grip or Pestilence.

This is my rotation: (open)Death and Decay, Icy Touch, Plauge Strike, Pestilence. that's Pure THREAT! That's it. No one is pulling threat off of you after you use Pestilence to spread the dots.

Then after you use that rotation, you should be low on runes and max out on runic power. Just spam Death coil...

Really... Death Knight Tanking is simple shit.. Easy THREAT. No one will pull Threat off you. This is as easy as pressing 1..2...3..

I agree. Death knights have a TON of AoEs which makes them great tanks.

 

I really like dk tanks that know how to play their class. The only problem is 95% of dks don't know how to play their class.

 

Not tryna hate but when I see that the tank is a dk, I QQ to myself. I love warrior tanks and then pallys, dk is just shit at my level as everyne has made a dps or healer or what not and does not understand aggro to well.

 

The paladin tank i was explaining to you yesterday (Righteous fury > consencration) would make me choose a paladin tank over a DK anyday.

 

I can pull aggro off any type of tank except for paladins as a fury warrior...It's easymode. As for DK tanks, they aren't bad, but not as good as paladins. Warriors have received a TON of prot nerfs lately, but it's still easy to tank with them...It's basically just spamming thunder clap and using taunt/challenging shout when you're in trouble. Shockwave is good for initializing aggro as well with good AoE damage + stun.
