What's a keylogger?

A rather unfriendly program which can be attatched to anything you download, or is sent to you. Be cautious accepting files over MSN, and don't download unless you've scanned.

For future information, scan EVERY file before you download it.

If you become keylogged, the first thing I recommend you do is:

File>Programs>Accessories>Accessibilities>On screen Keyboard.

Use the on-screen keyboard to change every password on various internet accounts. This prevents the key-logger from tracing what you have typed.

Secondly, scan, using MULTIPLE programs to attempt to remove the keylogger.

Recommended Scan Programs List:

1. Windows Live onecare, http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/default.htm, Not free But good.

2. PC TOOLS Spyware doctor, www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor

3. Norton Antivirus, Not the best but it works, www.symantec.com/

I don't think the on-screen keyboard helps. A keylogger traces your input into the application, not the input from your keyboard to your computer.

No most just record our keypress, and convert it from KeyAscii into Numerals.

 Run > "MRT"

No internet connection required.

Is Trend Micro Anti-Virus good by the way? I'm kinda new to different Anti-Virus software and was wondering if it's any good.

You can check if you have keylogger..

Press the default keys: ctrl+alt+shift+h

That is the default key... so don't get mad at me here.. People could change it to something else, if they are dumb.

you have to pay for all of those antiviruses and nortons is anti virus. If you kelloged simply get spybot it removes kelogers and it free.

Windows Defender is also quite nice FOR ME.
