If i didn't do something i loved as my job, it would be a job. If i have a job i love doing, it isnt a job, but a hobby that pays. So would you rather slave away at some job you dont even enjoy just to potentially live comfortably, or would you rather enjoy your life and deal with the results of such life choice. In my situation I will 100% be doing what i love until i die, if that means ill be homeless so be it, atleast ill enjoy it to some degree.

All about perception in my opinion, I would think it is a good thing if its what you truely want you will never know unless you take the risks don't live in a bubble working a 9-5 job. Eventually you will end up doing it is that you really love in the long run anways or so I hope but that is good money just look at all sides of the situation.
