    If I was scammed?

    How do I chargeback someone if I was scammed? I went to the resolution center on Paypal, and I have these two options...

    A) I have a problem with an item I purchased
    B) I want to report a transaction that I didn't authorize

    Do I choose A?

    Only trade with trusted users, that's the best solution.

    I would go with B and just say you didn't authorize it you will win 99 percent of the time.

    Not true, If the payment was sent from the same IP that was used to create the account, PayPal will realise that and figure that the transaction was in fact authorized. I would advise A, but there is always the possibility you won't win the chargeback.
    Best bet is to create a scam report also, and when the user is banned link them to that and provide evidence that said person was in actual fact banned for that accusation. I would, personally, go option A and provide sufficient evidence to support your case.

    If you go with option A, I can tell you right now that you are most likely going to lose. Literally all the seller/scammer has to say to PayPal is that the trade was for virtual goods, which their Terms of Service does not cover, and he will win the dispute.

    If you go with option B, you will lose if they prove you were the one that made the payment on your account. If the account is in someone elses name, like a parent's, however, it is easy to claim that you are the parent and the child did not have permission to make the payment.

    Please note that the following do not qualify as unauthorized transactions:

    A payment made by a family member who has access to the account.

    I would also use B) option, it's the easiest way to win dispute.
