If all bots disappeared...

I have some friends in high places that I have talked to about bots in-game, and many have stated that Jagex does not seem to put as much effort in as they seem, because they know the game benefits from them more than they harm the game.

 

The prices would be a lot higher because all the bots supply the items.

Also, I do believe it would be a lot easier to train without annoying bots stealing your rocks or trees.

Jagex say they don't want bots in the game at all. But they know just as well as we do that without bots RuneScape wouldn't be RuneScape anymore. Skillers wouldn't skill as they used too meaning Pkers couldn't buy pking supplies. The prices would be insane and I think RuneScape would slowly die. It would have much more of an affect than the closing of the old wild did and that's why I think Jagex will always turn a blind eye to some bots now and then.

 

I actually think that if all bots just instantly disappeared and all prices would go up that runescape wouldnt slowly die. I would actually be more interested as I like the challenge of playing to get items and get the skills up. I would rather spend 1 month getting a sara sword than to get a sara sword in 3 days and just be a typical guy with a ss that you see all over the place. that is what has kept me playing rs for 8 years is the challenge to get the items that not many people have.

 

I completely agree with you. I am just like that myself. I'm actually 2479 total non botted i understand how you feel I just think there is too few of us like this and the majority rules in situations like this. There would of course be people still playing but the amount that would stop would make it appear as RuneScape had died. That's just my opinion though.

 

Yeah I think that runescape wouldn't slowly die and might even prosper. Just 1 hour of woodcutting legitly would get you about as much money as like 4 hours does now. It would make most skills profitable or very profitable.
