ideas on paysafecard

what are peoples thoughts on this? I had to use it and, whilst it took me ages to find someone who actually knew how to use it, it seems to be a quite flawless system apart from the fact no one knows how to use it. Steam and runescape both accept it, and I was wondering what the big gold sellers who have their own website think of it? as if they are receiving the payment I am pretty sure there couldn't be a chargeback I think?

 

Paysafe is a prepaid card, that can only be used to purchase online, or redeemed in full on a paysafecard account.
There are no chargebacks.

The only downside is that redeeming a paysafecard is the fees. The minimum fee is 5% (via skrill, via paysafecard account) and requires a FULL redemption to your OWN account. The usual fee through most payment providers is somewhere around 10-20% per transaction.

 

ah thats interesting. yes, have you considered using it yourself? or considered selling items for paysafecard? also, how much do paypal charge?

 

We don't accept it.

Paysafe card you have to spend the balance, and I've had so many issues with pre-paid cards over the years I don't even touch them. Plus you'd have to spend it right that second to make sure they didn't spend after you delivered.

Paypal my cash cards are much better, because you can instantly redeem for paypal balance. Although redeeming cards paid in cash from different locations will get you a long conversation with PP, as I've experienced first hand.

 

never actually heard of paypal mycash. but yeah that is a huge flaw...

there is no way of cashing out a paysafecard? i think as they are so new they should have potential and things could be added to them to fix these issues, but i see what you mean at this point in time

 

I work for MMORPG, and we accept paysafecard. Have been for quite a few years actually.
No problems at all, the fees are just monstrous.

When I was too young to have my bank linked to PayPal, I paid everything with Paysafecards (LoL, RS membership). Spent about 200€ on Paysafecards, never had any trouble.
